Past: From a young age, Maria knew she wanted to be a mechanic, showing an interest in cars ever since the age of 4. Her mother owned an auto shop while her father worked as a 5 star chef. When Maria was 8, Hurricane Katrina struck and it caused her family to lose everything that they worked so hard for. Having to rely on various services and family members, the Juarez family managed to relocate to Woodcrest where they took refuge until their insurance settlements came in.

Isabella used the money to rebuild her business from the ground up while Sebastian got a job at a prestigious restaurant thanks to his experience. Maria continued to work hard and train as a mechanic as she grew older and graduated from high school, also getting involved in street racing to make more money so she could support her side job as a tattoo artist and soon became licensed in that area and auto mechanics.
