Victoria is a scarred and hurt woman who hides her pain and suffering from the world, convinced that no one cares about her and that she's a burden on others. Past: Victoria grew up traveling to various countries and moving around frequently because of her parents' jobs. She was often exposed to many different cultures and people, becoming more of a rebel and hell-raiser as she got older. But when she turned 17, she turned over a new leaf. She graduated high school early and joined the U.S. Marines. By the time she was 19, she was in the U.S. Special Forces, a trained killer at the point. Most of her time in the Special Forces was spent in several countries, being an assassin in several projects.

After 7 years in the Special Forces, Victoria left and decided to get involved with Interpol and the CIA, joining a team of profilers and taking down numerous terrorists and terrorist organizations. This continued for 5 years until Victoria decided to leave, wanting a more quiet and stable life.

She moved to Dallas, Texas and decided to continue her education which she had halted while in the military, going into the medical field and aiming to become a doctor. While in college, she met a man named Trey Thatch who was a Texas State Trooper and stopped her for reckless driving. The two were very attracted to each other and began to date, marrying three years later.

Victoria became pregnant and gave birth to a son which she named Jaden. But unfortunately Trey died in a shoot-out a week later, sending Victoria into a deep depression which only got worse when Jaden died from SIDS two months later. Snapping like a rubber band, Victoria attempted to kill herself by overdosing on dilaudid which she became addicted to after her husband's death.

After surviving her suicide attempt, Victoria changed into a different person and finished medical school at the top of her class, quickly getting hired due to her high marks, experience, and discoveries.

Christie is a classic femme fatale, her sexy and graceful appearance and disposition masking her lethal and dangerous skills. Her philosophy "Nothing Personal" keeps her from showing emotion while on the job, treating everything as business and nothing more. She keeps a clear and level head no matter how dire things may get and follows orders with no hesitation, being intensely loyal to a fault. Christie can be very threatening and intimidating, always making good on her threats and isn't one to anger or annoy.

Past: Christie was born to Lady Amelia Valentine and the notorious archaeologist Lord Richard Valentine. The Valentines are known to be one of London's prestigious and wealthiest families and Christie had a very pampered upbringing as a result, being raised with four brothers as well as being the middle child and only girl. Amelia had to deal with her family's disapproval since she broke off her long-standing engagement with an Earl to be with Richard but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make.

Between the ages of three and six, she attended an all-girls school where it quickly became clear that she was an exceptionally gifted child. At the age of nine, Christie and her mother were in the Valentines' private jet over the Himalayas when lightning struck the engine and caused the plane to crash land. Christie and Amelia were the only survivors from the crash.

After creating a campfire and settling down for the night, Christie awoke the next morning to find her mother gone. Despite wanting to look for her mother and hopefully find her, Christie knew it would be useless and decided to try to survive on her own until she could find help. She managed to walk to Katmandu to escape the horrors of the plane crash and went to the nearest bar, managing to make a telephone call to her worried father who quickly rescued her. The experience gave Christie her first taste of adventure and survival.

For six years following the plane crash, Christie rarely left her father's side, traveling around the world from one archaeological dig site to the other with his various colleagues. During this period, she became a rebellious tomboy, fighting quite often and winning nearly every fight she was in. She sometimes lashed out at others due to the pain she felt from losing her mother. Christie also received private schooling as well, part of it from her father who wanted her education to continue.

Christie suffered yet another tragic loss at the age of 17 in the shape of her father going missing in Cambodia. Extensive search by the authorities and her brothers turned up human remains that couldn't be identified. Since Richard's body was not officially recovered and her mother's death was never technically declared, his children could not directly inherit his estates and fortune and they were thrust into a bitter family feud over control of everything with their maternal uncle. Christie and her brothers eventually won the legal battle by discovering the Valentine family crypt within the manor where Richard interred Amelia's remains and took possession of their inheritance but at the cost of being cast out from the De Mornay family due to a very deep rift.

At the age of 19, Christie met the man who would forever change her life. Bruce Zarate. He first encountered her after she beat up a group of boys and being annoyed by him, she challenged him to a fight and lost horribly to him. At the behest of her older brother James, Christie enlisted in the U.S. Marines and began training under him with many other soldiers. But Bruce always trained Christie harder than the others which soon lead to private training and her opening up to him which lead to them becoming close.

5 years later, Christie joined the Special Forces and completed training under Bruce, now the perfect soldier and fighter. They became lovers and started dating which lead to Christie leaving the Special Forces after 4 years. Bruce became a mercenary and had Christie accompany him as his right-hand woman, traveling around the world and doing various jobs.

But Bruce and Christie wound up going their separate ways after 6 months due to him cheating on her. Feeling betrayed and hurt, Christie went home to her brothers and tried to erase Bruce from her mind, living through her days in a dark haze. That all changed when she met Army 1st Lieutenant Christopher Jenkins. Although distant and a bit cold towards him at first, Christie eventually warmed up to him and they began to date, eventually falling in love.

After 2 years of dating, the two got married and lived happily together, Christie being a stay-at-home wife while Christopher worked hard. This continued for 3 years until Bruce reappeared back into Christie's life, wanting her back at his side. She rejected him due to her love for her husband being stronger than her love for Bruce. Coincidentally Christopher went missing soon after and was eventually found dead. Unbeknownst to Christie, Bruce was the one responsible.

Christie was completely distraught and against her better judgment relied on Bruce for emotional support which lead to them becoming a couple again. Being completely lost, Christie decided to work alongside Bruce again and polishing her skills due to being rather out of practice.

Now Christie is Bruce's right-hand woman, working as a mercenary for hire while being a part-time archaeologist although she mostly does that for sport rather than money.

~~About The Character~~

Personality: Yuzuki is a strong-willed, headstrong person who has had to contend with a multitude of sorrow and abuses in her life. Despite her high intelligence (she has an IQ of 130), her cynical nature has made her extremely blunt and often confrontational with others. Yuzuki finds it difficult to fit in with normal society or trust people. She is very adept at reading people and constantly distances herself from others by speaking her observations candidly and bluntly. She is fiercely loyal towards and protective of her loved ones, even to a fault, often hating those who could cause them harm.

Anyone who dares to insult Yuzuki had better watch out because she will gladly let them know where they can stick their unkind words with her caustic, witty tongue. She doesn't take sass from anybody regardless of who they are and always has to have the last word. Yuzuki's guarded, distant, and sometimes rude behavior stems from how angry and wounded she is which she also hides by being fiery and bittersweet.

Despite wanting the best in life and having a very hard work ethic, Yuzuki feels undeserving and suffers from low-self esteem. She often feels miserable and when it comes to relationships, she calls herself a "fatal attractor" or "unboyfriendable" due to her tendency to fall for people who are unattainable or have their own issues as well as pushing them away when things get too close for comfort. Reputation: As a medic-nin, Yuzuki is highly regarded and praised for her work ethic and going above and beyond for her fellow ninja. Although her penchant for breaking the rules gives her seniors a lot of headaches, her drive and ambition make up for it. On a personal level however, Yuzuki isn't so popular. Her tough, bitchy attitude and blunt, rude speech turn people away from her so it's difficult for her to make friends or even acquaintances. Some people consider it a miracle that she even has friends at all.

Shikamaru Nara: Yuzuki met Shikamaru when they were at the Academy and he noticed her playing Shogi.

Yuzuki admires Shikamaru's superior intellect and intelligence, striving to be more like him in that area. One would think that Shikamaru's laziness and carefree nature would disgust Yuzuki but it actually has the opposite effect on her. In fact, she envies Shikamaru for it and enjoys being around him. Yuzuki loves playing puzzles and games with him and they often challenge each other to the point of having a rivalry.

It's no surprise that Yuzuki and Shikamaru make a good duo since they both share a high intelligence despite their opposite natures. If they're ever on a mission together, one can expect a high probability of success. Shikamaru's one of the few ninja that Yuzuki can work with without arguments and conflict.

Yuzuki likes Shikamaru indeed and highly respects him which she shows by remaining loyal and enjoying his company whenever she can.


Naruto Uzumaki: Yuzuki has known Naruto since childhood, befriending him when she saw him sitting alone by himself.

Naruto is one of only two people in the village who knows about Yuzuki's troubled childhood and current home life which shows how much she trusts him. Yuzuki is very defensive of Naruto and will protect him against insults that are unwarranted as well as cheer him up whenever he's down. Whenever the pair are together, a good time is guaranteed to happen.

Yuzuki is also Naruto's on-and-off roommate and can usually be seen at his home in between missions. She often goes there to escape from the sadness she's living in and sometimes vents to Naruto. He's the only one who's ever seen her vulnerable, true self which makes Yuzuki's relationship with Naruto possibly the most intimate out of all her relationships.

Yuzuki considers Naruto her closest friend and he's the only reason why she hasn't gone off the deep end yet. She really cares about him and values him like she hasn't valued anyone before.


Sasuke Uchiha: Yuzuki has known Sasuke since early childhood, being an acquaintance of his before his clan was massacred.

Due to knowing him before the Uchiha massacre, Yuzuki knows of Sasuke's pain and isn't surprised by his change. She has respect for his skills but rarely expresses it verbally, preferring a more subtle approach. Yuzuki treats Sasuke like she treats any other ninja but isn't as rude or bitchy towards him because she doesn't find him stupid or annoying like she does most people. Whenever she does interact with him, it's short, sweet, and to the point with a slice of sarcasm and sass.

Yuzuki does have a crush on Sasuke but keeps it a secret and distances herself from him because she considers him unattainable and way out of her league.


Izayoi Kururugi (OC): Yuzuki's sensei that she met after graduation.

Yuzuki considers Izayoi to be another mother figure and she's one of the most important people in her life. Izayoi keeps a close eye on Yuzuki's mental state and is always there to give her the guidance and direction that she desperately craves. Izayoi is the only other person (besides Naruto) who knows the true extent of Yuzuki's childhood and overall misery which is how she's able to understand her so well.

Izayoi wants Yuzuki to be the best she can be as well as be strong enough to combat her demons and considers it her responsibility to be the mentor that she desperately needs.


Hideki Ryuga (OC): Yuzuki's teammate that she has known since early childhood.

Hideki and Yuzuki get along well due to them both sharing a bad attitude and short temper as well as a hard work ethic. It's almost uncanny how much alike they are. One would expect them to bump heads frequently but that rarely happens. Hideki understands Yuzuki despite not knowing much about her past and considers her a great ninja as well as a great woman.

Yuzuki values Hideki both on a personal and professional level and thinks of him as a good friend and teammate. But she isn't as open towards him as she is towards Naruto and Izayoi because she doesn't completely trust him yet nor feels comfortable enough around him.


Nobuo Adachi (OC): Yuzuki's teammate that she has known since their Academy days.

Compared to Hideki, Yuzuki and Nobuo have a more rocky relationship in comparison. Nobuo isn't quite gentle when it comes to Yuzuki's issues, preferring the tough love approach. He isn't very tolerant when it comes to her anger issues and instinct to run away from her problems. Due to this, Nobuo tends to lash out in anger and frustration towards Yuzuki which she returns tenfold, often leading to blowouts that may even turn physical.

Despite all of this, Nobuo never tolerates any insult towards Yuzuki no matter how badly she may behave. The reason why he is so harsh towards Yuzuki sometimes is because of how protective he's become of her. He doesn't want Yuzuki to get hurt anymore than she already has and truly has her best interests at heart.

Familial Background: Yuzuki's mother Yuna was a huge party animal in her youth despite her high intelligence. Sex, drugs, and alcohol were her main pastimes and she became known for having a rather vast sexual history. This resulted in Yuna becoming pregnant with Yuzuki and not knowing who the father was due to being black-out drunk. She had to give up her carefree lifestyle to raise Yuzuki as a single mother, becoming a doctor like she always wanted and working long hours. Yuna eventually fell in love with a ninja named Kazuya and married him, giving birth to a son named Akira.

Character Background: Yuzuki's early childhood was filled with abuse, neglect, and misery due to her mother being an alcoholic as well as a workaholic. She had to grow up quickly and didn't have much of a chance to be a kid since she had to take care of her mother and clean her up. But that eventually changed when her mother got married to her stepfather and she got sober and more dedicated to being a better mother to Yuzuki, turning a complete 180 when Akira was born.

Wanting to make something better of herself, Yuzuki decided to enter the Ninja Academy in order to become a medic-nin. Because Yuzuki had trouble fitting in and carried herself differently, the other students often laughed at her and called her names, bullying her.

In response, Yuzuki developed a mean streak and fought back against her bullies which was how her bitchy reputation got started. The only way she found solace was through the few friends she made, even going over to their houses after school and helping them out with homework.

But tragedy struck when Yuzuki graduated from the Ninja Academy. While she was out with her family, her brother was kidnapped. After an exhaustive search and investigation, Akira's body was found three days later on the outskirts of the village. His murder destroyed Yuzuki's mother and she fell back into old habits, mainly smoking and drinking. Yuzuki's stepfather drowned himself in work and Yuzuki adopted similar habits as well as harboring guilt that she's only shared with a few select people.

Personality: Nariko has no shame when it comes to her body or sexuality. Carefree, youthful, and wild, she's a seductive, flirtatious temptress who is up for anything and everything. Her open-mindedness knows no bounds. Nariko is careless, selfish, and manipulative, enjoying money and attention. Dancing, flirting, and drinking are her middle names alongside sex and money.

Shockingly, Nariko firmly believes that family is everything and has strong family values. She's more maternal and mature than people deem her to be and can be quite the domestic person behind closed doors. For some people, Nariko's presence can be very comforting almost like a mother comforting her child.

It's no surprise that Nariko has a slight fear of commitment and is uninterested in monogamy. Whenever feelings rise up, she bounces with a quickness and gets quite uncomfortable. Despite her domestic side, Nariko doesn't wish to be tied down because she doesn't want to get hurt again. Kakashi Hatake: Nariko has known Kakashi ever since childhood and they have a long history together.

Kakashi has seen Nariko at her best and her worst, being one of the few people who knows her true self. They have a connection that goes deeper than what most people understand at face value and there isn't much that they don't know about each other. Kakashi and Nariko work very well together due to his Anbu history and she holds him in very high regard as a result.

Nariko does have romantic feelings for Kakashi and deeply cares about him but her wild, untamed behavior/lifestyle has created a barrier filled with unresolved tension between them that has made things between them quite unstable in recent years and arguments can become aplenty when they're around each other sometimes.


Iruka Umino: Nariko and Iruka met when they were kids at the Academy and she was laughing at his antics and greatly enjoyed them.

Iruka's big and soft heart makes Nariko melt and when she has any downtime, she will often spend it with him, usually at Ichiraku Ramen. Teasing and flirting with Iruka is practically guaranteed whenever Nariko is around him and she loves to make him flustered, finding his reactions priceless.

Familial Background: Nariko's parents lived next door to each other growing up as kids and they had a very close friendship. When Eisuke enrolled in the Ninja Academy to become a ninja, their relationship faltered a bit due to him focusing heavily on his studies. But after he graduated, he and Ayane rekindled their friendship and as they got older, it slowly turned into romance and their relationship became official once Eisuke became a Chunin.

Since Ayane came from a family of chefs, her main dream was to have her own restaurant and Eisuke supported that dream full-force alongside her family. However he faced opposition from his own family because they wanted him to marry a ninja and threatened to disown him if he married Ayane who was just a civilian.

Rebelling against his family, Eisuke surprised Ayane by taking her on a well-deserved vacation and asking her to marry him which led to them eloping. Despite their best efforts to keep their marriage a secret, Eisuke's family found out when Ayane's subsequent pregnancy became public knowledge in the village.

Despite his family being furious, Eisuke continued to defy them and cut all contact with them in response to their backlash. As far as he was concerned, he was creating a new family. A family that loved and accepted him for who he truly was.

Ayane gave birth to twins: a boy she named Nariyuki and a girl that she named Nariko. Three years later, she gave birth to another girl that she named Chizuru.


Character Background: From a young age, Nariko showed a unique deposition that her family didn't always know how to handle. This made her the black sheep in the Mishima household but it was all in good nature and Nariko learned many good things from her family that she still holds dear to this day.

Wanting his children to become ninja, Eisuke enrolled Nariko and her siblings into the Ninja Academy which she graduated from when she was 8. Her natural aptitude for kenjutsu and sensory abilities as well as infiltration and interrogation led to her being scouted to join the Anbu when she turned 13 despite her father's immense worry for her safety and well-being.

Nariko gained the codename "Bloodhound" for her tenacity, drive, and determination when it came to missions. However outside of the Anbu, Nariko gained another kind of reputation: the wild party girl who was always up for a good time and was rather rebellious. When she was 16, she met a famous musician and drifter named Ren Morita who was performing in the Leaf Village.

Nariko and Ren hit it off instantly and found themselves in a torrid romance that slowly became a whirlwind due to Ren's drug usage and Nariko's duties as an Anbu keeping her away for long periods of time. Fights and arguments were aplenty with the young couple but they would always find a way back to each other only for the cycle to repeat itself.

Things continued for three years until Ren overdosed and was hospitalized. Deciding to change his life for the better, he checked himself into rehab and the young couple decided that it would be best to separate for the time being and work on themselves.

On Nariko's 22nd birthday, Ren surprised her by coming to her birthday party and proposing to her in front of everyone. Six months later, Nariko and Ren were married and their relationship improved significantly. But their bliss only lasted for two years and quickly turned to tragedy.

Ren's wild, rockstar lifestyle eventually caught up with him and he became gravely ill, passing away seven months later. His untimely death was considered a tremendous loss for the music world but no one was more affected than Nariko herself. Losing Ren broke her heart beyond repair and she silently vowed to never open up her heart to anyone else again.

Now Nariko is currently adjusting to life as a widow and using her wild lifestyle to numb and forget about her pain and emptiness but to no avail.

~~About The Character~~

Personality: On the surface, Shinobu is soft-spoken and polite as well as warm and compassionate. Motivation and cheerfulness are also a part of her daily routine. Her biggest personality trait is her calm, "zen-like" nature. Shinobu rarely loses her composure and is always there to offer support and wise advice to anyone who needs it. She's an intellectual and it's not surprising that she's intelligent and studious as well as logical.

Shinobu is an extrovert who's always on the go, participating in many events, activities, and hobbies. She's even-tempered and doesn't get violent unless she's defending herself or her loved ones but she does have a breaking point and it isn't pretty if she reaches it. Shinobu is humble and good-natured as well. She's very loyal and dutiful towards her family and friends even to a fault which can definitely work against her. Shinobu is also very generous, never afraid to help people with financial matters.

But for those who truly know Shinobu, they see a very different side of her. She's highly passive-aggressive and displays anger, hatred, bitterness, and stress in a suppressed but still very detectable fashion. Shinobu is filled with melancholy, rancor, and sullen indignation primarily as a result of the various trials and tribulations brought upon her as it mostly relates to her family. Due to her overwhelming stress, unforthcoming nature, and tendency to hold her feelings in, she has been known to express herself in ways that are unhealthy, passive-aggressive, and at times even volatile and explosive. Shinobu has a sarcastic streak a mile long and snapping/blowing up at people isn't uncommon for her to do. Relationships

Neji Hyuga: Shinobu is childhood friends with Neji since their clans have a long historic friendship with one another despite their opposite natures.

Because of their long history together, Shinobu generally gets along with Neji although she's had many a falling out with him because of how much he changed after his father's death and she isn't afraid to call him out on his behavior and how he treats people.

After his defeat by Naruto, Neji's change makes Shinobu happy and their strained friendship is slowly being repaired. No matter how mad Shinobu may get with Neji, she cares about him at the end of the day and is always there when he needs her. He's one of the few in Konoha who knows about her struggles and therefore he understands her more than most people.

Shinobu does wish to have something more with Neji but is unsure of how to approach him without ruining their already fragile friendship.


Gaara: Shinobu met Gaara when he was in Konoha during the Chunin Exams.

While she was largely terrified of Gaara at first and avoided him as much as she could because of that, after his defeat by Naruto's hand and his subsequent change, Shinobu's fear of Gaara has been replaced by one thing: curiosity although she always had that feeling towards him even when she was afraid of him.

Shinobu treats Gaara kindly and politely, always taking into account what he says and trying not to let her curiosity get the better of her so she won't annoy or anger him. She finds him relaxing and calming to be around and feels drawn to him despite not knowing much about him.

Shinobu wants to get closer to Gaara and does indeed like him but prefers to take things slow so she doesn't alarm him.


Kiba Inzuka: Shinobu has known Kiba since childhood due to them attending the Ninja Academy together and hanging out often.

Shinobu always liked being around Kiba and still does to this day. She likes training with him and Akamaru and although they have opposite natures to an extent, they get along shockingly well. But Shinobu does find Kiba's boastfulness to be exasperating at times and usually responds to it with a sassy remark, wanting to shut him up.

It also isn't uncommon for Shinobu and Kiba to flirt and tease each other, their playful banter often serving as entertainment or an annoyance for those around them. Kiba calls Shinobu "Baby Girl" as a term of endearment and they're both protective of each other, always having each other's back.

Shinobu and Kiba are indeed very close and care for each other but have yet to take the next step and have a "more than friends but less than lovers" situation.


Hinata Hyuga: Just like Neji, Shinobu has known Hinata since childhood and is just as close to her as she is to Neji.

Shinobu is very protective of Hinata and wants her to acknowledge her full potential, often encouraging and uplifting her as well as showing immense patience with her. She usually spars with her as well and doesn’t hesitate to stand up for her when someone (usually Neji) is being rude or condescending towards her.

Shinobu finds Hinata adorable and cute, often saying so just to make her blush or flustered. She’s fully aware of Hinata’s crush on Naruto and boldly teases her about it. Despite having her own feelings for the girl, what Shinobu wants for Hinata the most is for her to be happy.

Shinobu does indeed like Hinata but because she has a crush on Naruto, she keeps her feelings a secret and instead encourages Hinata to finally make a move on Naruto.


Riku Takahashi (OC): Shinobu’s teammate that she has known since their Academy days.

Shinobu and Riku didn’t get along very well at first due to Riku not liking her passive-aggressive nature and being very straightforward about how two-faced she is. To put it bluntly, Riku doesn’t tolerate Shinobu’s bullshit and will tell her exactly what is on his mind. This has often lead to arguments and even physical fights between them.

But after Riku learned about Shinobu’s past regarding her family and how much pressure she has on her shoulders, they’ve come to an understanding about each other and actually make a great team in and out of the field. Riku will still tell Shinobu like it is but he exercises more tact than he used to now that he understands where she’s coming from. But the two still bicker and argue although it’s in a more affectionate way now.


Kaito Kimura (OC): Shinobu’s teammate that she met alongside Riku when they were at the Academy.

Unlike Riku with whom she had a rocky start with, Shinobu and Kaito immediately clicked and sparked an instant friendship. Although Kaito shares Riku’s exasperation and dislike of Shinobu’s two-faced and passive-aggressive nature, he approaches it in a diplomatic way, instead trying to look at things from her point of view and giving her logical advice on how to improve. This makes Kaito much easier to approach than Riku from Shinobu’s perspective and she actually listens to him and takes his advice sometimes. Kaito also shares Shinobu’s interest in the arts, his talent being music.

Kaito usually plays the role of peacemaker between Shinobu and Riku, always keeping them in line whenever their bickering gets out of hand and bringing them together when it counts. He’s considered the heart of the team for this very reason and is highly valued and cared for as a result.


Aiko Ishiyama (OC): Shinobu’s sensei that she met after she graduated from the Academy.

Aiko is most concerned about Shinobu’s mental state and keeps a close eye on her because of it. She wants Shinobu to express herself in more healthy ways instead of keeping everything all pent up and locked away inside of her. In return, Shinobu will often cheer Aiko up from her usually bored and depressed deposition (which Aiko tries to hide with jokes, laughter, and sarcasm) and drags her outside to do something fun with her and the teammates. Aiko has an addiction to gambling and alcohol and her students are trying to help her kick them and help her through her depression. In return, Aiko cherishes her students and holds them close to her heart, wanting them to be much better than her and to live happy lives.

Clan Background: The Asahina clan is known in Konoha for being artistic and make gifted musicians, writers, poets, dancers, etc. They are rather unique, known for thinking outside of society norms and having many members of the LGBT community. Parties and banquets are aplenty with them and they never fail to be entertaining for Konoha. The Asahina clan has been best friends with the Hyuga clan for many generations despite the clans being total opposites.

The Asahina clan are best known for their speed. They are very fast and usually aim for the weak points when it comes to fighting enemies. The most powerful trait of the Asahina clan is their inclusion of unique weapons. When a member of the Asahina clan graduates from the Ninja Academy, they are presented with a weapon they can use in battle, forged by the clan elder Cepheus who is also Shinobu’s paternal grandfather.

The Asahina are somewhat difficult to identify due to them having different physical traits in terms of skin, hair, and eye color. Usually one can identify an Asahina by their weapons since they carry them around always. The clan members also wear at least one purple item on their person since that’s the color that represents them.


Familial Background: Shinobu’s parents Setsuka and Hiroki have a rather volatile history together despite having a loving marriage. They first met when they were 13 and despite them coming from different backgrounds (Setsuka being raised by an abusive, alcoholic mother with no dad in the picture and Hiroki being raised in the loving arms of his clan), they understood each other like no one else did. When Setsuka was 16, she discovered that she was pregnant which resulted in her eloping with Hiroki. At age 17, Setsuka gave birth to a baby girl that she named Shinobu. But everything wasn’t smooth sailing from there. Setsuka began to suffer from postpartum depression, turning to drugs and alcohol to cope which made her next two pregnancies very difficult and high-risk and put a huge strain on her relationship with her family.


Character Background: Shinobu’s early childhood was a roller coaster of love and neglect. The former coming from her father and the latter coming from her mother due to her fragile mental state and troubles with addiction. To make matters worse, Shinobu was raped by her maternal uncle when she was 8 and she never told anyone about it, vowing to take the hurt and pain to the grave. Her father was away on a mission and her mother was out partying with friends.

After Setsuka overdosed on drugs, Hiroki gave her an ultimatum: get help or he would leave with the kids in tow. Setsuka decided to get help and began to undergo counseling and rehab. Over the years, her relationship with her children and her marriage slowly began to repair and things were finally looking up for the Asahina clan.

However, Shinobu isn’t so quick to forgive her mother and rebuild things between them. She doesn’t quite trust her mother and pushes her away because she thinks her past addictions will return and how they've caused her once neglectful behaviors. Plus the rape by her uncle as well as the pressure from her clan has made Shinobu seething with anger and bitterness that she holds in and expresses in very unhealthy ways, mostly towards Setsuka.
