Many people would say there are two sides to Levi. On the outside, he seems confident, snarky, and sarcastic, his smart mouth being irritable to those who don't know him very well. History: Barbara was born to a Puerto Rican female police officer and a Japanese male successful author, being the firstborn of triplets. But things weren't easy. Her mother suffered from post partum depression and her father was spiraling down a path of drugs and alcohol. While there were many good days and memories, there were just as many bad days often consisting of arguments, fights, and overall dysfunction. Things only got worse between Barbara's parents when her mother returned to duty due to her being exposed to many horrific things.

When Barbara was 6, her mother finally decided to get help for her depression and attended therapy sessions at the behest of her superiors and things improved tremendously between them. Two years later, her father was arrested for drug possession and drunk driving. Luna had enough and legally separated from Rokuro, taking Barbara and her siblings with her. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison thanks to Luna pulling some strings.

This was the final straw for Barbara who was 10 at the time and all of her pent-up emotions from the years of dysfunction between her parents slowly began to come out. While she used many artistic outlets and sports, she was also starting to become a troublemaker, acting out and hanging with the wrong crowd. Going through puberty only made things worse as her relationship with her mother was beginning to deteriorate again because of her rebellion.

Rokuro was eventually released from prison on Barbara's 13th birthday and six months later, she was sent to live with him alongside her siblings due to Luna unable to deal with her rebellion and acting out. While Barbara loves her father dearly and looks up to him, she still doesn't trust him and has continued to hold a grudge against him because of his incarceration and past drug and alcohol abuse which often leads to arguments.

At Seigaku, Barbara is well-known for her musical talent as well as her prowess in both tennis and kickboxing. While she is rather popular mostly because of her parents, she can often be seen relaxing by herself in a quiet spot because of her introverted nature.

Past: Jessie was born and raised in a Mormon household but it was quite difficult for her. Due to her parents' religious beliefs and how the Mormon church is overall, Jessie was often subject to criticism and ridicule which became even worse because of how original and rebellious she was becoming as she grew older, becoming a teenager.

When she was 16, Jessie began to date one of her classmates named William Hightower and at age 17, she lost her virginity to him. Her parents were furious when they found out not just because Jessie had sex out of wedlock but because William was a black man and forbade them from seeing each other.

But Jessie defied her parents and on her 18th birthday, she surprised everyone by resigning from the Mormon church and going to Los Angeles with William and his family where they eloped and moved in with his parents. William enlisted in the Marines not too long afterwards and Jessie worked various jobs to make any money she could so she wouldn't be too much of a burden on her in-laws.

A year later, Jessie discovered that she was pregnant and William made the decision to finally buy a house which he was able to do thanks to Jessie saving money during that time and because of his own income that he was making.

Things only got better for Jessie when one of her sisters Erin was able to get into contact with her which lead to an emotional reunion for the Maye siblings. Deciding to follow in Jessie's footsteps, Erin and Eris had left the Mormon church as well with Zane and Christopher following suit shortly thereafter. When Aaron had decided to leave too, he was kicked out by their parents and forced to move in with his brothers.

Now reunited with her siblings, Jessie had their support alongside William's during her pregnancy and gave birth to a beautiful daughter that she named Veronica. Throughout the years, while William's military career flourished, Jessie was a housewife and had two more daughters named Candace and Katheryn. But when she was 27, a horrible tragedy happened that changed her life forever.

William sacrificed himself to save his fellow soldiers and Jessie got that call that she always feared. The grief was overwhelming for her and the only reason she was able to make it was because of her siblings being there for her throughout the entire ordeal. Jessie fell into a deep depression and although William's life insurance and GI Bill was more than enough to pay the bills for a few years, she knew that well would run dry soon and she still needed to provide for her daughters.

Jessie decided to become a stripper at an LGBT strip club and enrolled in college, intent on going to law school to become a lawyer. Her lifestyle became a bit more wild as well but not too wild to the point where it interfered with her being a mother and taking care of her daughters alongside her schooling. Now Jessie is a high-paying stripper making lots of money to support herself and her family while also dealing with her education.

Personality

At first glance, David seems like a typical charming player. Flirtatious, joyful, and often comedic with sex and partying being his main diet. When he enters a room, it instantly lights up because of his demeanor. He always has a smile on his face and cheering people up is his specialty. If you're looking for a good time, David's your man. But one would be a fool to dismiss him as just a party person.

David is rather wise and responsible, having to grow up quickly because of his rough upbringing and his heart is truly kind. He'll give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger if need be. But David will only help those with the will but not the means to help themselves. Past: David grew up in a very rough neighborhood in Dallas and his childhood was even rougher. His mom gave birth to him and his twin sister when she was only 15 and his father dumped her for another woman and refused to take care of them. Although Vivian was determined to make ends meet and raise her kids on her own, she was forced to rely on her parents and when she graduated from high school, she decided to fulfill her own dreams of becoming a nurse and got a job in a local factory as well which paid well enough for her to finally get her own place.

When David was 8, Vivian began to date a Marine named Wade and he quickly got attached to the man, even taking his last name when Vivian married Wade a year later, pregnant with twins that she named Lillian and Luther. Wade had become a constant father figure in David's life, teaching him about martial arts and cars.

At the age of 13, David was invited to a sleepover by one of his male friends whom he had a secret crush on. While at the sleepover, David finally decided to confess and tried to kiss him but was rejected and shunned. This lead to rumors being spread and David was bullied and harassed constantly even as he went into high school and he became an outcast because of it, having his siblings as his only friends.

Things took an even more horrifying turn at the age of 16 when Diana finally stood up to the guys who had been bullying Daniel and humiliated them in front of the entire student body, destroying their reputation. This resulted in the twins being jumped when they were walking home from school and they were beaten badly. The twins were left for dead and they were found by Wade who had gone out looking for them.

David finally broke down and told Wade and Vivian everything, coming out as bisexual in the process. The evidence was overwhelming and thanks to the connections Wade had as well as the twins testifying against the 4 boys, they each got 20 years in prison. The case was especially hard on Diana and it was becoming clear that it had affected her far worse than anticipated. After graduating from high school, Diana attempted suicide which was very devastating for the Rhodes family but she thankfully survived. It was especially devastating for David because of how close they were and he fell into a deep depression himself, drowning himself in college, sex, and partying to forget his pain and Diana followed suit. While at a party, David met a woman named Maria Turner, a soldier who was friends with Diana and the two instantly hit it off which lead to them dating shortly thereafter. For the first time in his life, David felt like someone actually cared about him and Maria became the central focus in his life above all else.

After getting his Bachelor's in Psychology, David quickly enrolled in medical school while Maria continued to advance in the Army. They moved in together and Maria gave birth to twin boys named Dalton and Dante a year later. After David got his medical degree, he proposed to Maria and she eagerly accepted. Six months later, they had their wedding while Maria was pregnant with their third child.

Starting his residency with three kids and a wife to take care of, the future was finally looking bright for David for the first time in his life. But two years later, things began to fall apart for his family. Maria was struggling with PTSD and self medicated with alcohol which caused tension within their marriage. Eventually things got out of hand and after a big argument, Maria stormed out of the house and disappeared. Frantically worrying about her after not hearing from her for 24 hours, David called the police and they eventually found Maria in a hotel room who was dead from suicide by hanging.

 

David vowed to never love again and completely closed his heart because of the guilt and grief, focusing solely on raising his sons and continuing his career, partying and having sexual escapades every now and then to relieve some stress and have some much-needed fun.
