Personality: Carmelita is a strong woman with a hardcore attitude when it comes to her duties. She's very sarcastic and cynical, bordering on misanthropy. She's difficult to get close to because she's afraid of being hurt again. She closes up around most people and rarely speaks about herself. Carmelita has a short temper that is easily blown and she isn't afraid to speak her mind. She talks crudely because she doesn't trust most people. She's also quite independent, stubborn, and prideful. Carmelita is sadistic and dark and has a habit of creeping people out when she reveals that side of her. She's very competitive and loves to win. She is a confident natural-born leader, cares for all of her friends and subordinates deeply, and will fight to the finish for them to the point of risking her life. She is a closet pervert and has very little limits and inhibitions when it comes to sex. Carmelita has a tendency to get into trouble frequently due to her rebellious nature and short temper. She's very tough and isn't afraid to fight or get her hands dirty if she feels it's necessary.

Deep down however, Carmelita does have a soft, affectionate, and sweet side which only her family and closest friends have the liberty of seeing. She'll gladly give someone the shirt off her back if they need it but because she's afraid of being taken advantage of and being taken for granted, she rarely shows kindness to strangers except in dire situations. Carmelita has high expectations for others and herself and is definitely a perfectionist at heart which is one of her biggest strengths as well as one of her biggest flaws.

When Carmelita isn't angry, stressed out, or overall frustrated, people are often surprised to see a woman who's laid back, quite humorous, and even chatty. Underneath her strong, militant persona, Carmelita is still human and she's very much aware of this, often reminding others of that very same fact. She isn't afraid to express other emotions such as sadness, happiness, and love but prefers to express them when she's around people that she's more comfortable with so she won't be judged.

Carmelita's history with love and relationships is often the contention of gossip amongst her fellow soldiers which lowers her social standing even more for some people.

Roy Mustang: Carmelita and Roy met one another during a military ball and they danced together for most of the night. Due to her being in a relationship at the time, she rejected his advances. Over the years, they would frequently run into each other and have even battled side by side on many occasions, proving to be a very good team. Now that they're currently stationed in the same city and Carmelita being newly single, Roy flirts incessantly with her and likes to toy around which she usually returns with a snarky remark or insults. Their relationship can best be described as cat and mouse when off the battlefield but it's not uncommon to see them together acting borderline friendly with each other.

Izumi Curtis: Being friends with Izumi for nearly 20 years, she is one of the few people Carmelita will completely open up to. They have supported each other through many struggles and are both stronger people because of it. Izumi is the godmother of Carmelita's children and grandchildren and takes that role seriously, being as involved in their lives as she can be. Carmelita is also one of Izumi's best customers, often purchasing food from her shop.

Olivier Armstrong: Carmelita met Olivier while she went to Fort Briggs on a mission with Charles who had a long history with her. Their friendship was almost instantaneous due to their similar natures and philosophies and they also share an intense yet friendly rivalry. It's not uncommon to see the two women around each other frequently whether on or off duty and they make a fearsome team in battle as one would expect.

Maes Hughes: Carmelita came to know Maes thanks to Roy and they became instant friends. While she was pregnant with her second child, she asked Maes to be the godfather of her kids which he gladly accepted. She's one of the few people who doesn't get annoyed from his craziness about his family and she finds his personality and attitude very refreshing to be around. However Carmelita does get irritated at Maes' tendency to constantly try and hook her up with Roy, often teasing them openly. She is considered a part of the Hughes family and makes sure to look after Maes' well-being so he can go home to his wife and daughter unscathed.

Riza Hawkeye: Carmelita is around Riza almost as much as she is around Roy and the two have become close as a result. They respect each other's skills as soldiers and have a mutual admiration for each other. When it comes to Roy, Carmelita likes to get under his skin by flirting with Riza and being as affectionate with her as possible. Riza is aware of the relationship between Roy and Carmelita and usually serves as the go-between and mediator for the two as well as being the voice of reason.

Familial Background: Carmelita was born to a military man and a female chef. She was the only girl and middle child out of all the Blade children and had a lively, joyful upbringing with her brothers. While they aren't as rich as other families like the Armstrongs, the Blades still live a fairly good and stable life, being involved with the community whenever possible.

Character Background: From a young age, Carmelita knew she was destined to become a State Alchemist. She became fascinated with shadows and the darkness during her pre-teen years and at the age of 15 enrolled in the State Military Academy to become a State Alchemist. Carmelita's social reputation manifested itself rather quickly due to her cold, rebellious nature and constantly rejecting romantic advances from her classmates. But she didn't care and continued to advance in her studies, quickly becoming one of the best cadets.

When Carmelita was 17, she met a man sixteen years her senior named Charles McCarter. Being a master of the dark arts, Charles began to train Carmelita in dark alchemy, her interest in him becoming apparent from the very moment they met despite him being married to his third wife at the time and her feelings were eventually reciprocated despite Charles having second doubts at first. Their relationship quickly transformed from student and teacher to lovers on her 19th birthday and she had mastered Charles' teachings and passed the State Alchemist certification exam, earning the name "Shadow Alchemist" and the rank of Major at age 20.

Charles and Carmelita's relationship became on and off, even marrying other people in the process despite the obvious love and passion they held for one another which lead to them still seeing each other behind their spouses' backs.

Three years passed before Carmelita's life changed forever. The Fuhrer began to order State Alchemists to the front lines of the Ishval Civil War and she was one of them. The war changed her into an entirely different person and she even considered throwing away her license because she was so disgusted with the atrocities she committed but she was talked out of it by Roy Mustang and Charles.

After the war, Carmelita was promoted to Lieutenant General and went home to her family. But her marriage to her husband Axel fell apart due to his alcoholism and abusive nature which lead to their dramatic divorce. Carmelita ran into Charles again and as they began to work together, the spark between them quickly re-ignited and so did their relationship. After ten overall years of being on and off, Carmelita and Charles became a couple again and moved in together, blending their families and having twins together in addition to the ten they had from previous marriages.

6 years later, Carmelita became Charles' fifth wife and he became her second husband. They became well-known in the military due to them being a power couple and working together flawlessly as a team with some of their children. But their bliss was short-lived as Charles died from a sudden illness four years later. Although he died with a smile on his face and peace in his heart, it did little to quell the intense pain and grief in Carmelita's own heart. Losing Charles was a nearly fatal blow for the McCarter family but thanks to Carmelita taking charge and being strong, they made it through and came back stronger than ever.

Now the family matriarch and leader, Carmelita is much more seasoned, wiser, and experienced than she was over 20 years ago and now has a huge military career and reputation to uphold as well as a legacy.

Personality: Rebecca is introverted and usually keeps to herself. She puts up a tough, sarcastic, and nonchalant front to isolate herself from others, rarely letting people in and picking and choosing her friendships carefully. When Rebecca does speak, it's usually snarky, rude, and blunt. She doesn't believe in being fake and isn't afraid to act like a bitch if the situation calls for it. Rebecca refuses to apologize for who she is and will stick to her guns no matter what. She has a short fuse and lashing out at other physically or verbally isn't uncommon for her.

But deep down, Rebecca faces huge demons. She has low self-esteem/confidence and feels very lonely and depressed. Past: Because of her father being a musician, Juanita was exposed to many things and became very worldly at a young age much to her mother's chagrin. Personality

On the surface, Colette is soft-spoken and polite as well as warm and compassionate. Motivation and cheerfulness are also a part of her daily routine. Her biggest personality trait is her calm, "zen-like" nature. Colette rarely loses her composure and is always there to offer support and wise advice to anyone who needs it. She's an intellectual and it's not surprising that she's intelligent and studious as well as logical.

Past: From the moment Colette was born, her path was set. Her grandfather was the owner and CEO of Tran Toy Company Inc which became popular nearly overnight and was well known for its philanthropic policies. As a child, Colette was very close with her grandfather, visiting him frequently and even giving him ideas about new toys which only made the company expand even more.

As Colette grew older, she began to rebel slightly and came out of her shell, wanting to be herself instead of pretending to be something she wasn't. She began to participate in sports and quickly became popular because of her kind nature. At the age of 15, she met the man who would later on become her best friend: Eugene Donovan. Despite being from two different worlds and having very different personalities, they clicked instantly although not everyone approved of their friendship. Colette's father was wary of Eugene due to his background and nature which only caused her to defy him and get closer to Eugene in the process.

On the day of her high school graduation, Colette received devastating news that her grandfather passed away from a heart attack. After his funeral, his will was read and Colette was given her grandfather's entire estate. Despite being overwhelmed by it all, she moved into his mansion soon thereafter and started college, going into business per her father's request since he didn't want anyone else besides her becoming CEO of the company.

While in college, Colette had on and off contact with Eugene due to many things happening in his life that he kept a secret from her. Although she worried about him, she drowned herself in her studies and the company to stay busy. She quickly got her Masters in Business and by the time she was 25, Colette became CEO of Tran Toy Company Inc just like her grandfather and father wanted.

Personality

Eugene is very rough around the edges due to his neglectful and painful past. He's very rebellious and doesn't like being told what to do, also showing aggression to mask his pain and hide it from others. He's short-tempered, impulsive, and merciless as a result of having to deal with so many cruel and despicable people throughout his life. Eugene is generally misunderstood and because of this, he doesn't open up easily to people and is mostly a loner, used to be judged very quickly by others. He's very street savvy and can read people expertly, able to sense danger and deception a mile away. Lying to him is a very foolish thing to attempt.

Underneath Eugene's bold and cocky nature, he has a joking and kind side, even bordering on selflessness. He's cultured and very artistic to the point where some people would consider him a genius. When it comes to the people he's close to, Eugene will do anything for them and is very protective and caring towards their well-being. He's a great person to have as a friend as well as a fearsome person to have as an enemy.

Past: Eugene's mother died of a drug overdose when he was 6 and his father committed suicide when he was 8. Since no one would claim him and his brother, they was taken to a nearby orphanage. Growing up there, Eugene hated it for many reasons. Some of the caretakers there were abusive to him, even sexually molesting him at some points. Eugene would often run away to an abandoned warehouse where he would draw and practice on his artwork.

Every time someone tried to adopt Eugene or Elliot, they wouldn't take the other twin with them and they got up the courage to run away and lived a life on the streets when they were 12. Eugene and Elliot did everything they could to survive and Eugene went as far as to prostitute himself which eventually lead to him getting raped on several occasions.

At age 15, Eugene and Eliot reached a breakthrough when they came into contact with their maternal uncle Wyatt and subsequently reunited with their mother's family, not having seen them since they were babies.

Eugene and Elliot were taken to Orlando, Florida and they began to attend high school, Eugene quickly gaining a reputation because of his attitude and artistic prowess. He also met Colette Tran and became best friends with her, finding solace in her presence and being attracted to her. Eugene came out as bisexual during this time after word came around about him briefly dating another male classmate named Tyrese Agnew which caused him to lose a few friends but Colette stood by him regardless.

Throughout high school, Eugene's bad boy activities became more and more mischievous, being introduced to drugs, alcohol, gambling, and street fighting while his art became more well-known and he began to create a portfolio with the intention of becoming a tattoo artist. When his graduation came, tragedy struck. Eugene's aunt Amanda had committed suicide and he found her body. He was devastated and didn't attend as a result.

After getting his diploma, Eugene fell into a deep depression, becoming addicted to cocaine and dilaudid as well as drinking heavily. His art was affected as well since he drew more and more frequently, using it as another outlet for his pain and sorrow. He eventually cut contact with Colette, not wanting her to see him like that.

Eugene was quickly noticed by a man named Hiroto Yukimura and became his apprentice in his tattoo shop Inkopolis Tattoos. Despite the 12 year age difference between them, their relationship eventually became romantic and sexual in nature. Because of this, he attempted to keep his drug and alcohol abuse a secret from him but it was discovered when he tried to commit suicide by overdosing on cocaine.

Hiroto sent Eugene to therapy and rehab, not wanting him to ruin his career and talent and concerned for his well-being. Within six months, he was clean and began to have a more positive outlook on life, even contacting Colette for the first time in years and rekindling his friendship with her. By the time Eugene was 22, he was a licensed tattoo artist with a degree in fine arts and a minor in business.

Unfortunately Eugene was faced with loss yet again when Hiroto died from stomach cancer two years later. In his will, he left his shop and assets to Eugene, calling him the love of his life and his one true friend. Thanks to Colette, Eugene began to take over the business as Hiroto wanted him to and Inkopolis Tattoos became a much bigger success under his leadership and he became even more well-known.

Unlike her twin brother, Bellemere had a difficult time fitting into her new life when it came to her peers. After transferring to a new junior high school, she became an outcast and rebel due to her sharp tongue and cold, brutal demeanor. Her fashion sense didn't help much either since she began dressing in the gothic and emo fashions. She later found refuge and belonging with the respective crowds, becoming a bit more sociable and making a few friends in the process.

When Bellemere started high school, she began to date one of her close friends named Jessie Belrose and came out as bisexual. Their relationship blossomed for a year and a half until Jessie went missing and was later found dead, her body dumped in a river. Bellemere was devastated and attempted suicide for the second time, leading to her father taking her to therapy where she was diagnosed with clinical depression and PTSD.

Past: Oliver was born in a rich and pampered household. Born in the UK during his parents' honeymoon alongside his twin brother Olivier, he grew up in Los Angeles and had a happy childhood as a result of his parents being rich. During this time, Oliver also met a girl named Esmeralda Jones who was new to Los Angeles and became fast friends with her. But tragedy struck for him when he was 13. One of his female teachers molested and raped Oliver and his twin brother Olivier. When the latter went to the authorities, he was murdered by the woman. Oliver was very traumatized by the incident and even attempted suicide by hanging himself.

This resulted in his parents taking him to a therapist named Dante Elliot who became a mentor in his life and introduced him to many things such as martial arts and sports. When Oliver graduated high school at age 17, he decided to strike out on his own, not wanting to depend on his parents for everything. Oliver currently lives in his own place and works at a bar and grill called Second Chance, using his many talents to his advantage.
