Christie is a classic femme fatale, her sexy and graceful appearance and disposition masking her lethal and dangerous skills. Her philosophy "Nothing Personal" keeps her from showing emotion while on the job, treating everything as business and nothing more. She keeps a clear and level head no matter how dire things may get and follows orders with no hesitation, being intensely loyal to a fault. Christie can be very threatening and intimidating, always making good on her threats and isn't one to anger or annoy.
Christie is very intelligent and enjoys learning about new things especially in regards to history. She loves a good adventure and can talk for hours about her many expeditions. Past: Christie was born to Lady Amelia Valentine and the notorious archaeologist Lord Richard Valentine. The Valentines are known to be one of London's prestigious and wealthiest families and Christie had a very pampered upbringing as a result, being raised with four brothers as well as being the middle child and only girl. Amelia had to deal with her family's disapproval since she broke off her long-standing engagement with an Earl to be with Richard but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make.
Between the ages of three and six, she attended an all-girls school where it quickly became clear that she was an exceptionally gifted child. At the age of nine, Christie and her mother were in the Valentines' private jet over the Himalayas when lightning struck the engine and caused the plane to crash land. Christie and Amelia were the only survivors from the crash.
After creating a campfire and settling down for the night, Christie awoke the next morning to find her mother gone. Despite wanting to look for her mother and hopefully find her, Christie knew it would be useless and decided to try to survive on her own until she could find help. She managed to walk to Katmandu to escape the horrors of the plane crash and went to the nearest bar, managing to make a telephone call to her worried father who quickly rescued her. The experience gave Christie her first taste of adventure and survival.
For six years following the plane crash, Christie rarely left her father's side, traveling around the world from one archaeological dig site to the other with his various colleagues. During this period, she became a rebellious tomboy, fighting quite often and winning nearly every fight she was in. She sometimes lashed out at others due to the pain she felt from losing her mother. Christie also received private schooling as well, part of it from her father who wanted her education to continue.
Christie suffered yet another tragic loss at the age of 17 in the shape of her father going missing in Cambodia. Extensive search by the authorities and her brothers turned up human remains that couldn't be identified. Since Richard's body was not officially recovered and her mother's death was never technically declared, his children could not directly inherit his estates and fortune and they were thrust into a bitter family feud over control of everything with their maternal uncle. Christie and her brothers eventually won the legal battle by discovering the Valentine family crypt within the manor where Richard interred Amelia's remains and took possession of their inheritance but at the cost of being cast out from the De Mornay family due to a very deep rift.
At the age of 19, Christie met the man who would forever change her life. Bruce Zarate. He first encountered her after she beat up a group of boys and being annoyed by him, she challenged him to a fight and lost horribly to him. At the behest of her older brother James, Christie enlisted in the British Army and began training under him with many other soldiers. But Bruce always trained Christie harder than the others which soon lead to private training and her opening up to him which lead to them becoming close.
5 years later, Christie joined the Special Air Service and completed training under Bruce, now the perfect soldier and fighter. They became lovers and started dating which lead to Christie leaving the Special Air Service after 4 years. Bruce became a mercenary and had Christie accompany him as his right-hand woman, traveling around the world and doing various jobs.
But Bruce and Christie wound up going their separate ways after 6 months due to him cheating on her. Feeling betrayed and hurt, Christie went home to her brothers and tried to erase Bruce from her mind, living through her days in a dark haze. That all changed when she met British Army 1st Lieutenant Christopher Jenkins. Although distant and a bit cold towards him at first, Christie eventually warmed up to him and they began to date, eventually falling in love.
After 2 years of dating, the two got married and lived happily together, Christie being a stay-at-home wife while Christopher worked hard. This continued for 3 years until Bruce reappeared back into Christie's life, wanting her back at his side. She rejected him due to her love for her husband being stronger than her love for Bruce. Coincidentally Christopher went missing soon after and was eventually found dead. Unbeknownst to Christie, Bruce was the one responsible.
Christie was completely distraught and against her better judgment relied on Bruce for emotional support which lead to them becoming a couple again. Being completely lost, Christie decided to work alongside Bruce again and polishing her skills due to being rather out of practice.
Now Christie is Bruce's right-hand woman, working as a mercenary for hire while being a part-time archaeologist although she mostly does that for sport rather than money.
