Past: Born into a wealthy and large family, Veronica had a happy childhood, spending many days with her cousin Ulrich who she was very close with. But it was hard for her to make friends due to her parents being so wealthy and her own attitude which was a stark contrast to the other girls. As a result, Veronica hung out with mostly boys, making her even more of an enemy to the female student body. She found herself in many verbal and physical fights with them, resulting in her getting suspended several times and nearly getting expelled at one point.
At the age of 12, Veronica's world came crashing down. While at church with her family, she was molested and raped by her Sunday School teacher. The torture continued for six months until she tearfully confessed to her mother who went to the police and had the teacher arrested. The legal process was long, grueling, and Veronica had to testify against her teacher, reliving the traumatic experience.
Despite the man being sentenced to prison for 70 years, it still failed to quell the anger that was slowly rising in Veronica's heart. She began to act out, becoming more of a rebel and partaking in more delinquent activities as well as distancing herself from her family. She tried to do whatever she could to stop the pain and trauma from taking over but to no avail.
Veronica eventually found her solace in another rebellious girl named Faith Wallace when she was 13. But she was feeling more than friendship towards Faith which was returned due to her coming out as a lesbian. Veronica came out as bisexual and although their families supported their relationship, the church that they attended together did not and eventually they were shamed and ostracized.
To make matters worse, Faith's family moved to Canada and she broke up with Veronica in the process, not willing to have a long-distance relationship. Heartbroken beyond repair, Veronica began to return to her delinquent behavior which was more risky and dangerous than before.
Concerned about their daughter's well-being and safety, Veronica's parents sent her to France to live with her brother Alexus and registered her into Kadic Academy, entrusting her to Ulrich in hopes that she'll heal and open up as well as be safe.
Personality: Veronica is crude, bold, and gives no fucks. She speaks without filter and says whatever is on her mind, regardless of the situation. If Veronica has a problem with something or someone, she'll voice it no matter what. Despite being rather intelligent, her cynical nature has made her extremely blunt and confrontational with others and she consequently finds it difficult to fit in with normal society or to trust people. She is very adept at reading people and constantly distances herself from others by speaking her observations candidly and bluntly.
Although Veronica doesn't trust people easily and doesn't let them get close to her, if she does manage to make friends, she makes them for life. She's fiercely loyal to the few people she holds dear and cares about, always being there for them as well as very protective. Veronica can be very reckless and relentless when any of her loved ones are in danger, doing anything to make sure they're safe and happy, showing her more selfless nature.
Veronica has deep, emotional scars which have turned her into an angry, vengeful woman. The main way she expresses her trauma is through her wrath and often appears as tough-minded, unemotional, and ruthless but actually has low self-esteem underneath her behavior and has a sense of secret shame and humiliation.
