At first glance, Zuri seems like an introverted, classy ice queen. She is quiet, troubled, brooding, grim, moody, seemingly emotionless, intelligent, studious, and sarcastic. Zuri can always come up with a snarky and sarcastic remark and her wittiness knows no bounds. She is quite mature, often giving advice to others about various subjects and generally staying cool and calm no matter how desperate the situation is. Around strangers, Zuri is often emotionally restrained, appearing secretive and distant as well as spending most of her time by herself. ~~Life Story~~

Zuri was born to Crystal Wallace and Beau Willie Brown in Harlem, New York. Her parents were fresh out of high school and Beau enlisted into the U.S. Army while Crystal took up a job as an assistant to a large CEO. Crystal adjusted perfectly to her job while Beau was having a difficult time adapting to military life and his mental state began to deteriorate slowly but surely.

When Zuri was 5, her younger siblings Kenya and Kwame were born which resulted in Beau leaving the military when his contract was up. He tried to find a job but it was proving difficult due to his PTSD and alcoholism. To make matters worse, Beau had started to become abusive towards Crystal and it wasn't uncommon for Zuri to go to school with bruises on her body. Although CPS was often called on the Wallace family, nothing came of it due to Beau's aggression and temper scaring them away.

Zuri lived in constant fear and anxiety for many years until the unthinkable happened. When she was 12, Beau had dropped Kenya and Kwame out of the window of their apartment building. Since they were on the 5th floor, they died instantly. Zuri and Crystal had tried to save them but they were badly beaten in the process. Beau was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with his sentence being life in prison without parole.

Sadly this did nothing to quell the grief and pain in Crystal's heart and six months later, she committed suicide by overdosing on pills. Zuri had come home from school and found her body. Her crying and screaming had alerted the neighbors who called the paramedics and Zuri was taken into foster care.

The police had contacted her aunt Vianne who had married a Korean man and moved to South Korea shortly after Zuri was born but lost contact with Crystal due to Beau's abusive ways. Vianne and her husband Minsoo instantly came to America and took Zuri into their custody, whisking her away to South Korea.

For the first time in her life, Zuri was able to experience the true love and affection of family although it was difficult for her to open up to everyone because of all the trauma that she had went through. Adjusting to life in South Korea was difficult for Zuri especially due to her being a foreigner but she finally found her place with three boys: Suho Lee, Seojun Han, and Seyeon Yoon. Zuri was attending the same middle school as them and Seyeon had seen her dance which lead to them becoming fast friends since they shared the same passion for music and dance. This lead to Zuri hanging out with The Three S's and she slowly started to fit into Korean society thanks to them but still maintained some rebellion.

Zuri's relationship with Seyeon was the closest without a doubt and it wasn't long before they started dating. Although Seyeon's schedule was often packed due to him being an idol trainee, they always made time for each other and had a very loving, intimate relationship. But sadly it wasn't meant to be as Seyeon eventually committed suicide.

His death destroyed Zuri and she gave up her dream of becoming a famous singer and dancer, instead focusing on her love for cars and aiming to become a mechanic which she is now trying to accomplish.

Ichigo Kurosaki: Zuri first met Ichigo when she attempted to commit suicide and he talked her down.

Ichigo is the only person besides her family who knows of her past and how it's shaped her to become the person she is now which is indicative of how close their relationship is. Ichigo has seen Zuri at her absolute worst and he's the only person that she feels she can truly open up to and trust completely. Whenever Zuri needs to vent or rant, she always goes to Ichigo.

Zuri highly values Ichigo and shows it by being affectionate and protective of him. If anyone tries to pick a fight with him or hurt him, Zuri will immediately rush to his defense and show her wrath to the offender. Although she has difficulty admitting it, Zuri is in love with Ichigo but is afraid to confess out of fear of being rejected and because of her own low self-esteem which has convinced her into thinking that she's not worthy of being loved.


Uryu Ishida: Zuri met Uryu when she began to attend Karakura High School.

The primary thing that Zuri likes about Uryu is his solitary nature as well as his intelligence. Zuri also likes how chivalrous he is although it made her uncomfortable at first because of how distrustful she is. Zuri thinks Uryu's talent with sewing is really cool and if she ever has an issue with any of her outfits, she immediately goes to him for help.

Zuri loves to tease and flirt with Uryu in a sexual manner, finding his reactions hilarious. She also has a tendency to twist his words in a sexual way which only serves to exasperate Uryu even more. But it's all in good fun and it's easy to tell when Zuri is being genuine and when she's joking around. Zuri likes Uryu a lot and expresses it in more subtle ways than being blunt about it which is unexpected for someone of her character.


Yasutora "Chad" Sado: Zuri met Chad when he protected her from a group of thugs that were bullying her at school.

Zuri finds Chad's presence calming and it's not uncommon to see her just hanging around with him. She is very protective of Chad and always stands up for him since he doesn't fight back. Zuri isn't intimidated by Chad's size which is uncommon for most women and the trait she loves about him the most is his loyalty because that means she can always rely on him and trust him.

Zuri is fluent in Spanish and she will usually talk to Chad in that language much to the annoyance of others. She enjoys learning about Mexican culture and can talk to him for hours just learning more and more. Zuri deeply cares for Chad and will do anything for him, wanting to return his loyalty but isn't willing to confess her true feelings just yet because she doesn't wanna ruin their friendship.


Tatsuki Arisawa: Zuri met Tatsuki while working out at the dojo and they fought each other in a match that ended in a draw.

Zuri has a high amount of respect for Tatsuki and loves to see her fight. The two girls sparring against each other and working out together is a frequent occurrence and their love of martial arts has only made them closer. Although Zuri and Tatsuki have opposite natures and carry themselves differently, they compliment each other very well and have a kinship that's rare to see amongst people.

Zuri has fallen in love with Tatsuki over the years that they've known each other but her low self-esteem prevents her from confessing and she just suffers in silence instead.


Orihime Inoue: Zuri met Orihime thanks to Tatsuki introducing them to each other.

At first, Zuri was a bit put off by Orihime and was a bit cold towards her. But after Orihime protected her from a Hollow and healed her injuries, Zuri began to open up to her a bit more and slowly started to realize that her personality was genuine and not an act she was putting on. Sometimes Zuri can find Orihime a bit annoying and isn't afraid to bring her down to Earth but she always tries to do it in a way that won't hurt the poor girl's feelings.

Since Zuri is good at cooking, she always shares her recipes with Orihime and brings food over to her house as well as helping her get better at making food so she won't be eating horrible concoctions all the time which Zuri actually finds hilarious more than anything. She's unsure of how she feels towards Orihime but she does know that she wants to keep her close and really enjoys her company despite not wanting to admit it.


Toshiro Hitsugaya: Zuri met Toshiro while he was in the Human World and visiting Ichigo.

Zuri and Toshiro got to a rather icy start but as Toshiro hung around Ichigo more and more, Zuri's interest in him began to increase and she started to warm up to him after he saved her from a Hollow. Because of their similar, icy natures, Zuri and Toshiro have built up a rapport with one another and enjoy spending time together. Toshiro is also one of two people (the other being Ichigo) who has actually seen her dance which just shows how close they've become but they still have a ways to go.

Zuri highly respects Toshiro's intelligence and likes to hear about the Soul Society and what life is like there. In return, she teaches him about The World Of The Living and the many things about it, both good and bad. Their conversations can last for hours and hours and it never gets tiring for Zuri because of how much she loves Toshiro's company. She's unsure of how to feel about him and she's scared to push things further because of them being from different worlds.

Familial Background: Zuri was born to an African-American woman and Japanese father. Her parents defied all odds (and their families) to be together and they wound up eloping in secret. They settled down in Karakura Town and gave birth to four children, juggling their careers and raising them at the same time which was hectic and often stressful but Faith and Hideki's love for each other kept their marriage going and their teamwork was flawless when it came to raising Zuri and her siblings.


Character Background: Although Zuri had a great home life and the upbringing most children would die for, she didn't fare very well outside of it. At school, she was bullied severely which caused her to develop low self-esteem and depression. Zuri gained a reputation for being an ice queen and she became mean and snarky to combat the bullying which eventually escalated to full-blown fighting.

When Zuri was 13, a classmate named Hiroto Rukawa that she had a crush on had approached her and asked her out which eventually lead to them dating. But little did she know, it was all part of a bet between Hiroto and his friends just to get her to sleep with him. On Zuri's 14th birthday, Hiroto tried to make sexual advances towards her and when she rejected him, he lashed out at her and revealed his true feelings which destroyed Zuri. In return, she grabbed a glass bottle and smashed it on Hiroto's face before running away.
 

Zuri isolated herself even more and at age 15, she had attempted suicide only to be saved by Ichigo Kurosaki himself. After having a heart-to-heart conversation with him and finally breaking down for the first time, Zuri finally felt a lust for life that she had been missing for so many years and decided to seek mental health treatment as well so she wouldn't feel that low ever again.

Now Zuri is living her best life and striving to be the best she can be despite her demons still lingering and coming back to haunt her which is starting to stunt her growth.

Personality: Rebecca is introverted and usually keeps to herself. She puts up a tough, sarcastic, and nonchalant front to isolate herself from others, rarely letting people in and picking and choosing her friendships carefully. When Rebecca does speak, it's usually snarky, rude, and blunt. She doesn't believe in being fake and isn't afraid to act like a bitch if the situation calls for it. Rebecca refuses to apologize for who she is and will stick to her guns no matter what. She has a short fuse and lashing out at other physically or verbally isn't uncommon for her.

But deep down, Rebecca faces huge demons. She has low self-esteem/confidence and feels very lonely and depressed. Rebecca wants authenticity, depth, and passion in her relationships. Casual relationships are not for her. She's also a perfectionist which is both a good and bad thing for her in many ways.

Overall Rebecca is a person with many hidden layers. Layers that she refuses to reveal because of her scars and her growing misanthropy. But secretly she wishes for someone who understands her and truly cares about her.

Past: Rebecca was born into a rich, affluent African-American family in Japan. She was given the best money could afford and despite her heart condition, she had a great childhood with her siblings.

Unfortunately Rebecca hasn't had much luck with it due to most of her dates pressuring her to have sex and her constantly rejecting them which resulted in them leaving. Now she's currently battling her inner demons but is slowly giving up on finding love because of the bad experiences she's had.

Zuri has a chameleon, street-smart nature that enables her to blend in with any crowd and she's excellent at reading and profiling people. This combined with her free-spirited and bold demeanor makes her invaluable when it comes to infiltration and going undercover. Zuri has no shame when it comes to her body or sexuality, being quite amoral and lusty and her open-mindedness knows little bounds.

Zuri has deep emotional scars from her childhood and early adult life which have turned her into an angry, vengeful woman. The main way she expresses her trauma is through her wrath. She's very choosy about her friends and associates and often appears as tough-minded, unemotional, and ruthless. Zuri actually has low self-esteem underneath her behavior and has a sense of secret shame and humiliation. She is full of secrets, pain, anger, and vengeance.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Being a cambion, Zuri requires sexual energy in order to survive although food does prove useful. The energy is used to maintain her health as well as heal any injuries she may sustain. In her demon form, Zuri has intricate markings on her skin which is a type of armor that allows her to be protected while allowing her to get energy any way she needs to. She can also use these markings to form wings which enable her to fly.

• Enthrallment/Mind Control: Zuri is considered a master of enthrallment/mind control to the point where she can control an entire army with just a snap of her fingers. However it can be broken either by holy magic or by strong will.
• Magic/Spell-casting: Similarly to Raven, Zuri is very skilled in magic and spells which is her main way of offense. However she's inferior to Raven in this category because Raven can use spells and magic that she can't.
• Superhuman Conditioning: Although nowhere near as superhuman as Starfire, Zuri is still a danger even without magic. She's quite skilled in hand-to-combat and knows how to use a sword and guns although she rarely uses them.

Past: Zuri's human mother Layla met an incubus named James when she was 18 and despite the ten-year age difference between them, it was like love at first sight. But their romance had many bumps in the road due to Layla being a human and James' family not being very accepting of it. But James defied them and married Layla two years later, taking her away from her poor neighborhood in Detroit to his mansion in Jump City.

Zuri was born three years after her brother Benjamin and thanks to her father owning a large company, she was treated with the best that life could afford. When she was 5, Zuri began to experiment with her powers behind her parents' backs but she was eventually caught. Her father was delighted while her mother was worried and concerned for her safety. Despite Layla's protests, James had begun to teach Zuri how to control her powers but he was very adamant about her not using them while out in the general public.

One person that Zuri was very close to was her older cousin Steve who was a transvestite prostitute, robber, and conman who often went by Lady Diamond. After she turned 13, Steve began to show her the ropes but kept her out of the more adult activities. But Zuri would eventually lose her virginity at age 14 to a gangster named Quincy Maxwell who was 2 years her senior. But the relationship was rather abusive and Zuri was quite afraid of Quincy. When she was 15, Zuri gave birth to a son that she named Quincy Jr. In order to keep the relationship a secret from her parents, she lied to them and said that her son was the result of a one-night stand. Although they were disappointed in Zuri for having a wild lifestyle, they still embraced and loved their grandson with all their hearts.

When Zuri tried to leave Quincy with Quincy Jr in tow, Quincy beat her to within an inch of her life and took the boy, threatening to kill him if she didn't give him $50,000. Too injured to do anything, Zuri attempted to go after Quincy but passed out in the street, eventually being found by the Titans who tried to take her to a nearby hospital but she refused and broke her father's number one rule. Using her enthrallment abilities, Zuri kissed a nearby human in front of them, absorbing energy which made her heal. At her wit's end, Zuri completely broke down and revealed everything to Robin despite not knowing a single thing about him or the Titans in general.

After extensive searching, the Titans and Zuri eventually found Quincy but Quincy Jr wasn't with him. To their horror, Quincy revealed that he had taken the boy fishing and threw him over a bridge. He was arrested and thanks to Zuri's testimony, Quincy went to jail for multiple crimes and he would never see the light of day again.

Curious about her powers, Robin asked Zuri to join the Titans which made her begin to reflect on how she lived her life and how it resulted in the death of her son. Knowing that she had to change her life for the better, she reluctantly declined his offer and became an anti-hero instead, using whatever measures necessary to take down any bad guys.

Having gone through many things, Maria is tough and hardened as a result. She's determined and relentless, unable to be stopped once she makes up her mind. She always speaks her mind and speaks with no filter, not caring about who she's talking to. Maria doesn't tolerate disrespect from anyone and won't hesitate to cut others down if she feels the need to. This can make her seem rather rude and pushy. Past: Maria wasn't born under great circumstances. Her mother Claudia gave birth to her when she was 15 and was a struggling teen parent. Luckily she had the support of Maria's father Alejandro who took up illegal street racing to take care of them. Starting from the age of 5, Maria took an interest in cars and began to spend more time with her dad who introduced her to that world and it wasn't long before she was actually repairing things with him despite being only a child. She lived on the same block as the Gallagher family and often hung out with Fiona and her siblings.

Unfortunately when Maria was 12, Alejandro passed away due to complications from diabetes. His death shook Maria to her core and she began to act out on her grief and anger, taking up street fighting in addition to cars. Maria also had the support of her friends alongside William Wayne who later became her boyfriend when she was 14.

At the age of 16, Maria was arrested and taken to the local police station for street racing and aggravated assault. She was raped by the cop who arrested her and instead of being silent, Maria reported him and got a rape kit done. She had to endure harassment from the Chicago PD, often resulting in violence which only stopped when her stepfather Erron threatened to sue them and recorded everything as evidence. Unfortunately the former cop was acquitted due to having power in the court system. Maria was enraged and brutally beat him to within an inch of his life with a socket wrench. She is extremely distrusting of law enforcement because of this incident.

Despite having the sympathy of the public and the jury, Maria was sentenced to five years in prison at the age of 18. Prison life was hell for Maria and she developed an addiction to sex in order to survive and adapt. Her relationship with William continued despite this and once Maria was released from prison, they eloped in the Dominican Republic and she began to seek treatment for her hypersexuality once they returned to Chicago.

William had opened a shop called Slick Will Repairs while Maria was in prison and she instantly found her calling there, rejoining the world of cars and street racing. But their marital bliss was short-lived when William died from a freak accident three years later. A biker suffered a hydraulics malfunction and spun out of control, sending his bike flying from under him into a row of parked bikes, one of which headed right into William, throwing him through a window and killing him instantly.

His death was devastating not only for Maria but for the community that surrounded them as well because of how much he meant to everyone and how he invested in people. Determined to keep William's legacy alive, Maria took over the shop as expected and is now the sole owner of it. She still races and dances from time to time, often using those activities to escape and make extra money.

Past: Born to a decorated officer in the Marines and a prominent judge, Mary Jane was given nothing but the best in everything: education, housing, clothing, the works. Past: Living in South Side Chicago exposed Robin to nothing but drugs, prostitution, and death on every corner. Although her parents were very hard-working people and busted their asses to make sure their kids had a decent life, the streets claimed their lives via a violent carjacking. Robin was 8 and her older brother Raymond was 13 at the time.

The two siblings were taken in by their father's sister Alice and her husband Jacob. They were a well-off Christian couple who were strait-laced and a bit strict but they were very loving. While Raymond adapted instantly to the new environment, Robin had a much harder time. Her extroverted and thrill-seeking nature often proved to be too much for the Changs to handle but it did make for some rather amusing times.

When Robin was 13, she became romantically involved with another female student named Charisse Slocomb. When some of their classmates started bullying them, Robin responded by fighting back and sending one of the bullies to the hospital. She came out as bisexual to her family after the incident and revealed her relationship with Charisse. Raymond was loving and accepting while Alice and Jacob didn't approve, even threatening to kick her out of the house if she didn't stay away from Charisse.

But being the rebel that she was, Robin continued to boldly see Charisse throughout the years and in retaliation, Alice and Jacob kicked her out of the house and onto the streets once she graduated from high school at age 17. Robin found herself on Raymond's doorstep and single as Charisse broke up with her because of irreconcilable differences.

Despite Robin now moving in with him, Raymond went through with his plans to move to Atlanta and simply took her along for the ride. Robin met a local girl named Mary Jane and they became instant friends. Although she didn't approve of her friend's crush on her older brother, Robin didn't stop Raymond from dating Mary Jane when she was 15 and when she wound up pregnant, she did nothing but support them despite still disapproving of their relationship due to the age difference.

After Raymond was revealed to be the father of Mary Jane's baby, he was given an ultimatum by her father: end the relationship with her or go to prison and not be able to be in the child's life. Per Robin's suggestion, Raymond decided to end the relationship despite still being in love with Mary Jane. Robin and Raymond were there for her throughout her pregnancy and were overjoyed when she gave birth to a baby girl that she named Raynelle.

Now an aunt, Robin is focused on her newfound career as a model and racer while being very much involved in Mary Jane's life as well as her niece's.

Past: From a young age, Gwendolyn was raised in a strait-laced Christian household and was taught personal responsibility as well as family values. Her mother Veronica was especially strict with her and didn't allow her to do most things other girls did. As Gwendolyn became a teenager, she was exposed to quite a lot of things that her mother advised her against but her natural curiosity steered her away from what she was taught much to her mother's chagrin.

In an attempt to reel her daughter back in, Veronica began to manipulate and control Gwendolyn, showing her true, diabolic, and devilish colors. But it all proved to be in vain once Gwendolyn graduated from high school. Some of her friends took her to a club and it was there that she met Aileen McKensie who was a member of the U.S. Air Force Security Forces and had just returned from her second deployment.

Gwendolyn quickly became attached to Aileen to the point of infatuation and they became inseparable. Before Gwendolyn knew it, she was falling in love with Aileen and thanks to her influence, she came out of the closet as bisexual. While her father David was loving and accepting of Gwendolyn's sexuality, Veronica denounced it and practically stated that she would rather have no children than have a daughter that liked women.

Despite the immense emotional pain from Veronica's rejection, Gwendolyn found the inner strength to cut her out of her life for good and moved in with Aileen. With this change came Gwendolyn's drive to become a cop, going to college while Aileen's military career continued to soar.

At age 21, Gwendolyn became a police officer like she always hoped for after getting her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. 5 years later, gay marriage became legal in the United States and Aileen proposed to Gwendolyn in response. This lead to them getting married later that day and Aileen made the decision to leave the U.S. Air Force, applying to become an FBI agent. Aileen is stoic and strong, yet loyal to the bone. She's tough, athletic, but not much of a conversationalist. She makes for her lack of conversation with bluntness, sarcasm, irony, and occasionally brutality. A straightforward athlete, Aileen lives for the speed and thrill and is willing to take up any challenge. She is also calm and collected compared to someone who might be more perky. Thanks to her athleticism, Aileen is resourceful, adaptable, and can hold her own. Past: Aileen's mother Celia gave birth to her when she was 17, her father Allister being 21 at the time. Allister was already an accomplished chef in his own right and working in his family's restaurant while Celia decided to go to school to become a registered nurse. Their hectic lifestyles combined with raising Aileen was very taxing on the young couple but they managed to pull through for her sake. Allister and Celia's relationship was volatile and unstable because of his frequent infidelity. Fights and arguments were aplenty in the McKensie household.

When Aileen was 13, she had her first lesbian experience with a girl named Esmeralda. Ironically Allister was cheating on Celia with Esmeralda's mother and using Aileen to cover for him which she didn't care about because of her keeping her lesbianism a secret.

Aileen and Esmeralda's relationship only lasted for 4 months and she decided to start dating a close male friend of hers named Corey as a cover for her sexuality. While she did indeed love him, it was only in a platonic sense and eventually she got tired of the lies. When Aileen was 16, her parents broke up for good and she decided to come out as a lesbian, breaking up with Corey in the process. But it was amicable and they still remained good friends.

To Aileen's shock, she was met with acceptance and relief from her family and peers and felt true freedom for the first time in her life. She graduated from high school at age 17 and enlisted in the United States Air Force soon afterwards. Her main goal was to join the Security Forces. Basic Training as well as Technical Training was a difficult hurdle for Aileen but she pushed herself beyond her limits and got through it thanks to the support of her family and Corey who had enlisted alongside her.

Aileen found herself in a Close Precision Engagement Team with Corey, him being the spotter and her being the sniper. While this was her main specialty, she also found herself in engagement teams as well as being a defender thanks to cross-training.

At age 21, Aileen found herself in Atlanta, Georgia at a bar, having just returned from her second deployment. It was there that she met Gwendolyn Banks. Although Aileen's initial reaction was to find her annoying, Gwendolyn refused to give up and Aileen found herself getting quite attached to the woman. Before she knew it, she was heading into a whirlwind, passionate romance with Gwendolyn but the main issue was her hiding her sexuality.

Gwendolyn decided to rectify this by coming out as bisexual but she was kicked out of her parents' house and denounced by her mother as a result. Aileen instantly took Gwendolyn into her new home and this only solidified their relationship further. As Gwendolyn went to school to become a cop, Aileen continued to work on her military career.

5 years after Gwendolyn became a cop, gay marriage became legal across the United States and Aileen proposed to her which lead to them getting married later that day with Corey as her best man. After 11 years in the Air Force, Aileen decided to leave once her contract expired and applied to become an FBI agent. Now she's living peacefully with the love of her life and taking on the world by storm.
