Esmeralda is very open and curious. She enjoys trying and learning new things. Due to her constant traveling, Esmeralda isn't one to stay in one place too long. Stability scares her in a way. While this may make her seem fickle, she is definitely not that. Esmeralda always makes sure to get things done before moving on to something else. She is very social and makes friends easily but she will only let someone get so close before she puts up her walls due to her trust issues. Esmeralda is very seductive and sexual, having no qualms about using her body to get what she wants. However she will only sleep with someone if she feels emotionally connected with them. Past: Esmeralda's parents died in a plane crash when she was 4. Her mom's sister and her husband took her in and began to raise her as their own in Paris, France where they lived. Esmeralda was exposed to many wonders and adventures due to their constant traveling. 

When she was 16, after a volatile relationship with her ex-boyfriend, he soon began to stalk her, eventually raping her and brutally beating her. With the support of her aunt and uncle, Esmeralda reported the rape and he was later arrested and sent to jail. Deeply traumatized by the incident, Esmeralda became more of a wild child, partying and going places to mask her pain and hide it.

After graduating from high school, Esmeralda moved out, wanting to strike out on her own. She quickly received a job as a model and dancer due to her looks and knowing many people. She also inherited a house and $100,000 from her deceased parents due to a trust fund that was set up for her.

Dominique is mysterious, preferring to keep to himself instead of being with the masses. He doesn't mind being social; he just prefers to be alone. He doesn't like to talk about himself which makes him a bit distant. Dominique is a very hard worker and puts his all into everything he does, being quite passionate. He is a perfectionist and doesn't like to settle for anything less than the best. He doesn't give up easily and knows what he wants. While Dominique doesn't have many friends, the friends he does have he keeps for life. He has a policy to never bite the hand that feeds him which means he's very grateful and doesn't like to complain.

Dominique took the majority of the abuse, wanting to protect his family from Brian's wrath.

On Dominique's 12th birthday, Tonya decided she had had enough and fled, taking him and his siblings with her. Unfortunately since Tonya's family was far away, they had to live on the streets homeless. But it was better than living under Brian's abusive eye. Dominique and his family continued to be homeless for the next two years until Tonya finally managed to get into contact with her sister Sierra who was a police officer. They quickly moved in with her and finally knew peace for the first time in their lives.

When Dominique was 16, Tonya met the man who would soon become his stepfather: Dale Rosetta who was a college professor. They married after a year of dating and Dominique began to finally experience the true love of a father. After graduating from high school, he ultimately moved out to pursue his dreams of becoming a songwriter and musician instead of going to college.

Dominique met a man named Ben McKinley after a concert and after the latter discovered the former's talent for songwriting and making music, he took him under his wing and introduced him to his niece Esmeralda which lead to them becoming roommates.
