Lola is a confident and assertive woman whose awareness of her own abilities is reflected well by her motto "I can do anything". Her typical state of mind is to be bright and cheerful, and she has a kind and caring heart which compels her to help others and to put their well being above her own. However, she can also be very competitive and arrogant in certain situations especially when others appear to do things better than her.
Her competitive nature and drive for perfection, as well as some of her insecurities, are consistent with a Type A personality. Past: Born into a family of first responders and overall public heroes, high expectations were naturally set upon Lola. The first things people usually notice about Dante is that he's sarcastic, off-putting, highly intelligent, and quietly intense. He's mysterious and brooding, rejecting most social events and keeping to himself. Dante is a firm believer in the term "Quality over quantity" and applies it to everything in his life, especially people. He doesn't believe in being fake which gives him the reputation of being an asshole since his honesty is so brutal and often tactless. If Dante doesn't like something or someone, he just shows it any way he can with no filter.
While Dante is mostly serene, calm, and unruffled on the outside, he has a lot of pent-up anger, frustration, and most of all passion tucked away where no one can get to it. While he does have many outlets that he often uses to release these things, some of them are the very definition of unhealthy and have gotten him into trouble in the past. Dante is very subtle and silent about his issues and when he does blow up, it isn't pretty and usually has terrible consequences especially if it's directed towards someone else.
Dante is very misunderstood, moody, and rebellious. He doesn't follow the ways of society and makes his own rules, unafraid to be different and march to the beat of his own drum. Past: Dante was born to a Texas State Trooper and successful author, being the firstborn of triplets. But things weren't easy. His mother suffered from post partum depression and his father was spiraling down a path of drugs and alcohol. While there were many good days and memories, there were just as many bad days often consisting of arguments, fights, and overall dysfunction. Things only got worse between Dante's parents when her mother returned to duty due to her being exposed to many horrific things.
When Dante was 6, his mother finally decided to get help for her depression and attended therapy sessions at the behest of her superiors and things improved tremendously between them. Two years later, Dante's mother finally accomplished her dream of becoming a Texas Ranger. But his father was also arrested for drug possession and drunk driving around the same time. Luna had enough and legally separated from Richard, taking Dante and his siblings with her. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison thanks to Luna pulling some strings.
This was the final straw for Dante who was 10 at the time and all of his pent-up emotions from the years of dysfunction between his parents slowly began to come out. While he used many artistic outlets, he was also starting to become a troublemaker, acting out and hanging with the wrong crowd. Going through puberty only made things worse as his relationship with his mother was beginning to deteriorate again because of his rebellion.
Dante lost his virginity at age 14, becoming sexually active from then on and his father was released from prison on his 15th birthday. Unable to deal with his acting out and now sexual behavior, Luna decided to send Dante to live with Richard who had decided to move to Atlanta to start over. Dante's siblings Diana and Damien moved to Atlanta with him because of how close they were as well.
While Dante does indeed love his father dearly and looks up to him, he still doesn't trust him and has continued to hold a grudge against him because of him going to jail and his former substance abuse which often leads to arguments. At school, Dante is known for being a mysterious loner and doesn't have many friends but he is also known for his artistic genius and being on the track team.
