Personality

Mahogany is a gentle, kind soul with an air of confidence and class that most people don't possess. She loves to have a good time and is always up for fun and jokes. But it takes her a while to open up to others due to bad experiences with people and she's definitely an introvert at heart. Mahogany is very protective of herself and her peace, refusing to let anyone disturb it and she often leaves at the first red flag someone shows, having a gift of discernment that very few people have.

Mahogany is very creative and is always thinking about the next idea or adventure to go on. She's very passionate and gives her all when she does something. She's very rebellious and she marches to the beat of her own drum, preferring to find things out for herself and do her own research instead of listening to what others say. Mahogany isn't afraid to question or think deeper and has a habit to play devil's advocate.

Another defining trait of Mahogany is her sass and wit which never fails to shock others or make them laugh. Her kindness is not to be mistaken for weakness and she's definitely not afraid to stand up for herself or others. She doesn't like violence or conflict but sees it as a natural part of life and therefore has adapted to it. She's quite vengeful and if someone hurts her, she will get them back and she's not afraid to play the long game. But Mahogany isn't vindictive and she will forgive a person eventually but for her sake instead of theirs.

Mahogany is very family-oriented and will always put people first over profit, taking care of others and giving back however she can. She believes in using her abilities for the greater good and wants to give people a hand-up instead of a hand-out. Mahogany has a lot of love to give and is a romantic at heart. She loves very hard and gives it her all but she's not afraid to walk away if a relationship no longer serves her needs, never afraid to put herself first and practice self-love. Mahogany has high standards when it comes to the people she lets into her life and inner circle.

Past: Mahogany was born into a loving family that poured into her especially since she was being severely bullied. The only solace she had to escape the pain was music which she began to show talent in as she got older. But sadly when she was 12, her life changed forever. Mahogany's father Alexander was killed during his last deployment and it devastated her greatly because she was such a daddy's girl.

To make matters worse, Mahogany's mother Ruby had received a job offer in New Jersey so the entire family had to move. Adjusting to a new environment was difficult for Mahogany and she had a hard time making friends especially after she went into high school. She mainly kept to herself and was a huge introvert, only having music for company. But things slowly changed for Mahogany as boys started to show interest in her which slowly boosted her self-esteem. But things came crashing down when Mahogany started dating this boy named Chris Stanton and eventually lost her virginity to him. It was all part of a bet and when Mahogany was bullied and humiliated for it, she snapped and tried to take her own life.

From that point on, Mahogany's life started to change for the better. She went into therapy to repair her mental health and she started to take music more seriously, joining the high school choir and writing her own songs, performing at open mics and other events while making demos. Her popularity skyrocketed in the process especially after she got revenge on Chris by kicking his butt in front of everyone after he disrespected her for the last time. By the time Mahogany was a senior in high school, she was thriving and had many friends that she made for life. Her music talents were becoming more noticed at that point and she decided to focus more on that instead of going to college.

Mahogany eventually found love when a man named Roman Montgomery asked her out and she reluctantly agreed only to be swept off her feet and finally experiencing the queen treatment. Mahogany eventually hit her big break a year later and got scouted by a huge record label after a live performance. It was then that her debut album The Miseducation Of Mahogany was created and released to universal acclaim, winning various awards including Grammys. She became a superstar overnight and she found out that she was pregnant with her first child while she was on tour. Mahogany and Roman got married once her tour was over and she gave birth to her son Zion shortly afterwards.

As the years went on, Mahogany cemented herself as a household name with her music continuing to receive acclaim with every subsequent album (Black Is Beautiful, Harbor, and Vital Signs: Rest and Relaxation) and going into avenues such as business and acting to varying degrees of success. Mahogany and Roman's marriage continued to thrive and flourish as their family grew larger, having 4 more kids in total. But there were cracks in their foundation that they tried to repair over the years but the damage proved to be too great in the end as they grew apart and divorced after 13 years of marriage due to Roman having an affair with another woman who eventually became his second wife. Their divorce was cold but cordial and they continue to maintain an amicable co-parenting relationship despite their differences and animosity.

It was then that Mahogany started to work on her 5th album Midnight and Mahogany: The Velvet Testament which was the largest project she had ever done and very emotional for her but her hard work paid off as she had received the most acclaim and awards since Black Is Beautiful and it sold millions of copies as well as having a very successful tour.

Now Mahogany is enjoying her career and the fruits of her labor while having her heart open to loving someone again and co-parenting her children with her ex-husband.
