Past: Born to an African-American father and Japanese mother, Gwendolyn's destiny was set in stone from birth. From the time she learned to walk, she showed an interest in dancing which her parents noticed and they decided to enroll their youngest daughter in dancing classes. Gwendolyn quickly became one of her teacher's best students over the years and her main style of dancing was hip-hop although she liked experimenting with other styles as well, wanting to be more diverse. She also showed great talent with technology and code which only made her more of an outcast because of her gender.

Outside of dance and tech however, Gwendolyn didn't fair very well. Because of her mixed heritage, she was often bullied and became a reclusive outcast, only keeping to herself and being quite shy and meek. The only solace she had outside of school was her family as she often had to deal with cattiness from the fellow girls in her dance class due to her talent and mixed heritage. When Gwendolyn's mom suggested she take up MMA training at the age of 10, she decided to do so which shot her confidence up and enabled her to stand up to her more physical bullies.

Despite all of the bullies trying to keep her down, Gwendolyn persevered and continued to shine, even finding friends that were either foreigners or mixed race like her and beginning to get out more, truly experiencing life for the first time. She graduated from high school and got a scholarship to Nihon Kogakuin College thanks to her dancing and hacking talents, double majoring in Dance and Systems Engineering.

Now Gwendolyn's enjoying her newfound freedom as a college student and is working very hard to become a better person and find her place in society.


Personality: Gwendolyn is ultra-feminine and often highly attractive. She's a huge dreamer as well as mysterious, spiritual, imaginative, sensual, and idealistic. Josephine has what many would describe as a black, smoldered heart filled with anger and rage. Past: Josephine's mother Carol was a prostitute junkie who frequently traded her for money and drugs. When she was 9, her mother disappeared and never came back. All alone, Josephine wandered the streets of Chicago, trying to survive which was very difficult because of her having diabetes. In order to get any insulin, Josephine was often forced to trade her body and would team up with other homeless kids so she wouldn't be alone. At the age of 13, Josephine's life went from rags to riches when she attempted to rob Jasmine Sinclair, a 16 year old girl walking home from school.

The robbery attempt was thwarted easily thanks to Jasmine's martial arts skills and Josephine instantly gravitated towards the older girl which led to her being taken in by the Sinclair family. Josephine and Jasmine's relationship became blurred between sisterhood and romance but before they had the chance to take things further, Jasmine died in a car accident on Josephine's 14th birthday. Veronica is a woman with a quiet, icy, and classy demeanor. She's usually distant and reserved, preferring to express herself through her actions rather than words. Past: Veronica's father David was a U.S. Marine and he had met her mother Aileen while he was in college. They fell in love which resulted in Aileen getting pregnant and they eloped in Hawaii. The couple settled down in Fort Hood, Texas where Veronica was born. She had a happy childhood and many great memories but little did she know, things were going to get really bad really quickly.

Aileen and David had gotten divorced when Veronica was 8 due to irreconcilable differences and her parents shared custody of her but Veronica spent most of her time at her mom's place due to her father's career. Having a blended family made Veronica come out of her shell and she had great memories with her newfound stepparents and siblings but there were some bad memories to go along with them. Her stepfather Anthony's younger brother Mark was inappropriate with Veronica from the moment he first met her and the grooming soon escalated to full-blown rape when she was 13. Whenever there was a family gathering or reunion, Veronica would be subject to sexual and mental abuse at the hands of Mark but as she got older, she began to fight back against him and avoided him whenever possible, wanting to get away from him and never see him again.

After graduating from high school, Veronica decided to enlist into the Marines, following in her father's footsteps and her MOS was 5811: Military Police. She quickly built a name for herself thanks to her determination/tenacity, hard work ethic, and sassy attitude and it wasn't long before she worked her way up the ranks and became a Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Division. During this time, she had married her longtime sweetheart and childhood friend Joseph Summers, having twins with him. But their relationship was often tumultuous and filled with tension because of Veronica's devotion to her work, sexual repression, and the changes to her personality which eventually led to their divorce after 5 years of marriage and 10 overall years of being together. Personality

Veronica is very competitive, sarcastic, loud, psychotically humored, rude, easily bored, and highly ill-tempered as well as foul-mouthed, confident, and troubled. She is undiplomatic, believing in the use of brute force and coercion to get her way. Veronica is a merciless and sadistic killer, without a conscience, who will be more than ready to kill anyone at the slightest provocation. She takes maniacal glee in killing anyone she fights or just for fun and also has very little remorse for her enemies. Whilst appearing to be driven by general bloodlust, she actually subconsciously uses violence as a dysfunctional coping mechanism and outlet for her deeply repressed emotional and psychological issues. An example of this is venting her trust issues by becoming particularly unpredictable and even dangerous to be around.

Most people tend to take Veronica at face value as a sadistic, incredibly destructive, volatile, gun-crazed psychopath and this is how she initially thinks of herself, ignoring the psychological trauma and emotional turmoil that fuels her behavior, possibly investing herself in this surface image to prevent others from discovering her emotional scars, keeping them hidden even from herself.

Due to an impoverished upbringing which involved verbal, physical and sexual abuse from those who had power over her, Veronica has developed an obsession towards power over herself, which causes her to appear fiercely independent and violently assertive, often using verbal or physical violence as a response to anyone who crosses her. However, while she initially appears to be tough, savage and strong-minded, her exterior actually covers up a profound lack of inner-strength and fear of the powerlessness she felt as a child. Her independence is actually more of a reactive attachment disorder, alienating others as much as possible to prevent the exposure of her own weakness and vulnerability.

Despite her insistence otherwise, Veronica actually hates the person she has become and desperately wants to change but doesn't know how, seeing the world as a garden of roses that she herself was expelled from. Past: Veronica's mother abandoned her and her father when she was only 4. Being raised in the poverty-stricken Chinatown district of New York, Veronica had to deal with her father's alcoholism and abuse with no one to turn to. But that changed forever when she was 12. After fleeing from one of her father's rampages, she was arrested, beaten, and raped by a corrupt police officer. Upon being returned home following this ordeal, Veronica shot and killed her father after he callously asked her for another drink.

Now on the streets by herself, Veronica had many similar encounters with the NYPD, particularly at the 27th Precinct. At age 15, she was rescued by a man named Daniel Chang and taken in by him and his wife Anastasia. He cleaned her up as well as educated and trained her alongside another girl he took in named Roxanne Thomas. Veronica showed a huge interest in cars and guns which Chang trained her in the most.

She also showed a romantic interest in Roxanne which soon resulted in them dating within six months. On Veronica's 18th birthday, she got her GED and stated her wish to become a private military contractor just like Chang. With his blessing, Veronica decided to enlist in the Marines while Roxanne went to medical school to become a nurse. She graduated boot camp with honors and after 2 years, she joined the Special Forces. Veronica became an assassin and participated in several projects, traveling across the globe. After 4 years, she decided to leave the military and return home to Roxanne for good.

But when Veronica arrived back to New York, things took a tragic turn. Roxanne was ambushed and attacked by two pimps who wanted to get back at her for ruining their prostitution ring. Roxanne died in Veronica's arms and she became enraged, almost killing the pimps but Chang stopped her. Thanks to Roxanne's bravery, the pimps were sentenced to life in prison.

Her reputation and military experience made it easy for Veronica to become a private military contractor like she always wanted and she decided to move to Bon Temps, Louisiana to start a new life and escape the hellhole she considered New York to be. Veronica's been living in Bon Temps ever since, enjoying her new career.

Past: Veronica's mother Ava gave birth to her and her twin brother Vincent when she was 15 and had Serenity two years later. The father was Gilbert Perez, a man five years her senior who was in culinary arts. Ava dropped out of high school and moved in with Gilbert after being kicked out by her parents. Their relationship was often volatile, Ava being the cause of the problems they had. Gilbert refused to tolerate Ava's behavior and eventually left her when Veronica was 5. Rock began to abuse the kids, targeting Veronica the most and Ava did little to nothing about it, even participating in the abuse sometimes. It came to an end when Veronica was 12. Rock raped her and when he and Ava went to bed later that night, she grabbed one of his guns and killed them both while they were sleeping, using their pillows as silencers.

Veronica took her siblings and went to see her father who eagerly took them in. The case surrounding Ava and Rock's deaths went cold due to the lack of physical evidence and no one testifying against Veronica. Although Gilbert was loving towards his children and took good care of them, his job as a chef often kept him away from home, leaving them to their own devices.

Veronica kept herself busy by learning about guns and cars and became good friends with one of her neighbors named Roxanne Thomas. As she got older, she became a street rat and a rebellious delinquent, even huffing various substances by the time she was 16. Veronica also came out as a lesbian during that time and became Roxanne's girlfriend, causing her to lose faith in God after being shunned by the Catholic Church for it.

Once she graduated from high school, Veronica began to take up street racing and tattooing in order to support her family and to ease the longing she had for adrenaline and fun. She also participated in other illegal activities such as street fighting and drug dealing. Roxanne was her partner in crime as well as her mentor and they became closer than ever, resulting in Veronica moving in with her and them going to Los Angeles six months later.

Eight years passed and by this time, Veronica was working as a tattoo artist while engaging in various criminal activities with Roxanne, making lots of money in the process. The duo had many run ins with the LAPD even to the point of being harassed but because of how rich they had become, they were able to afford good lawyers. One of them being Renee Trang whose daughter Veronica became friends with.

But that all changed when Veronica and Roxanne were out celebrating their 10 year anniversary as a couple. They were ambushed by three LAPD officers who were angry at them due to getting demoted which they blamed on the girls. Veronica and Roxanne were both brutally raped and beaten, the latter taking the brunt of the abuse to protect the former and dying in the process. Veronica snapped and shot all three officers in a fit of rage and sadness for her fallen lover.

But one of them managed to live and got Veronica arrested before she could go to the hospital. Determined to make the LAPD pay for everything they'd done over the years, she contacted Renee Trang once more and was eventually hospitalized and treated for her injuries. Veronica pressed charges against the cop and sued the LAPD for $500,000, citing slander, harassment, and brutality amongst other things.

Thanks to many witnesses coming forward, video and physical evidence, combined with Renee's toughness and strength, the cop was found guilty and sentenced 25 to life. As for the lawsuit, a deal was offered due to her many skills and talents being noted by the chief of police. If Veronica joined the LAPD, she would get half the money with the other half going to Roxanne's family. She would also get an expunged record as well. Veronica took the deal and at the age of 28 was a police officer.

She's been an officer for 4 years now with her current partner being Jean Trang, the daughter of Renee Trang. Veronica is also a licensed a tattoo artist which she does on the side whenever she can.
