~~About Her~~

Personality: One of the first things people often notice about Barbara is that she's tomboyish with a cheerful, witty, and rocker nature. Along with her tough front, she uses these traits to shield her emotional vulnerability. Barbara is a bit of a loner and feels like a misunderstood outsider despite being down to earth and outgoing.

Barbara knows how to make something out of nothing and her creativity is unmatched. Her tough and unwavering demeanor just makes her even more cooler in most people's eyes. She is a complete rebel at heart and sarcastic to the bone which can give authority figures many headaches. Although her tough shell may say otherwise, Barbara is a romantic to the core and is actually rather sensitive and longing. But she hides it all away because of her issues with abandonment and fear of being hurt. Barbara is an escapist and secretive as well as vague. History: Barbara was born to a Puerto Rican female police officer and a Japanese male successful author, being the firstborn of triplets. But things weren't easy. Her mother suffered from post partum depression and her father was spiraling down a path of drugs and alcohol. While there were many good days and memories, there were just as many bad days often consisting of arguments, fights, and overall dysfunction. Things only got worse between Barbara's parents when her mother returned to duty due to her being exposed to many horrific things.

When Barbara was 6, her mother finally decided to get help for her depression and attended therapy sessions at the behest of her superiors and things improved tremendously between them. Two years later, her father was arrested for drug possession and drunk driving. Luna had enough and legally separated from Rokuro, taking Barbara and her siblings with her. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison thanks to Luna pulling some strings.

This was the final straw for Barbara who was 10 at the time and all of her pent-up emotions from the years of dysfunction between her parents slowly began to come out. While she used many artistic outlets and sports, she was also starting to become a troublemaker, acting out and hanging with the wrong crowd. Going through puberty only made things worse as her relationship with her mother was beginning to deteriorate again because of her rebellion.

Rokuro was eventually released from prison on Barbara's 13th birthday and six months later, she was sent to live with him alongside her siblings due to Luna unable to deal with her rebellion and acting out. While Barbara loves her father dearly and looks up to him, she still doesn't trust him and has continued to hold a grudge against him because of his incarceration and past drug and alcohol abuse which often leads to arguments.

At Seigaku, Barbara is well-known for her musical talent as well as her prowess in both tennis and kickboxing. While she is rather popular mostly because of her parents, she can often be seen relaxing by herself in a quiet spot because of her introverted nature.
