Past: Lita was born and raised in Detroit to two struggling teen parents and had to mostly rely on neighbors because of them constantly working to provide a better life for her. Once her father joined the U.S. Navy, the Newsomes were able to move to Dallas, Texas to start over and when Lita was 5, her younger brother Stevie was born. Her mother becoming a manager at a local warehouse just made things even better for the Newsome family.
Life was finally stable and good for once in Lita's life and they continued to be that way until her high school graduation. Her parents were killed in a car accident that following night, leaving Lita and Stevie (who was 13 at the time) all alone with no one to help them.
Thanks to the insurance policies that her parents had, Lita was able to attend college and raise Stevie on her own without having to get a job. Once she graduated with a Bachelor's in Nursing, she enlisted into the Marines as a commissioned officer with the full intention of becoming a fighter pilot.
Although the training was grueling and very difficult for Lita, she was determined to succeed and quickly became known for her ambition and high work ethic, two things that she greatly needed if she wanted to advance further in her career.
After completing her training and first aircraft assignment, Lita was well on her way to accomplishing her dreams especially with her brother now joining the Marines as well. Now she's currently hard at work, intending to stay in the military until her contract expires.
