Personality: Aileen is rebellious, bold, and independent to a fault. Past: Being the youngest of three children, Aileen was born to a decorated military officer and a truck driver. She was raised in a close-knit environment, her family always having each other's back. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to last. When Aileen was 9, her mother fell off a ladder and suffered a leg fracture so severe that the doctors wanted to amputate her foot but she refused. Marilyn spent the next year and a half in the hospital, undergoing physical therapy.
During that time, her sister stayed at the Joseph house to help with the kids since Jeremiah spent long hours on the road as expected of his job. However Aileen's aunt was often mean to the girls and the 10 year old Lee walked in on her father and aunt in an intimate embrace. Despite Jeremiah's pleas, Aileen decided to tell her mother while visiting her in the hospital. This changed things forever.
Once Marilyn was released and came home, she proceeded to beat the ever-living crap out of her sister and kicked her out of the house with Aileen as the sole witness. Marilyn tried to make things work with Jeremiah but he drank heavily and often stayed out late which lead to arguments and fights that eventually turned physical. At that point, Marilyn had had enough. She gave Jeremiah an ultimatum: stop drinking or leave.
To Aileen's horror and dismay, Jeremiah walked out and abandoned his family which resulted in Marilyn divorcing him. Being 13 at the time, Aileen was very hurt and angry, developing a fear of abandonment as a result. Her personality began to change and she channeled all of her negative thoughts and emotions into music and dancing.
Despite her age, Aileen quickly became popular as she got older because of her talents which landed her a record deal and now she has found a new resolve in life as well as vowing to never end up like her mother and allow anyone to disrespect her or hurt her like her father did.
