Parties and banquets are aplenty with the Bloodhound Pirates because Grace likes to keep them rejuvenated and happy. Being the Captain, she's responsible when it comes to their needs and always makes sure they're met.
The Bloodhounds are very loyal and grateful to their Captain, willing to follow her to the ends of the Earth. They want nothing but the best for her and try to make sure that her flaws don't get her into too much trouble. It's not uncommon for them to tease and mess with Grace just to get a reaction out of her because of how dramatic she can be. They also have great respect for her and her skills as a gunslinger.

Familial Background: The Turners are a prime example of forbidden love. A Marine and a pirate being in love with each other is considered a great taboo by many. The Turners have a very polarized standing in society because of this. Delilah was a high-ranking officer in the Marines when she met Will Turner, a pirate who was also known as Slick Will. Although she tried to arrest him, she wound up falling for his charm which resulted in their unconventional romance. Delilah managed to keep the illicit affair a secret even after she got pregnant, instead making up a lie that it was the result of a fling. After giving birth to twin girls Grace and Gracelynn, Delilah left the Marines and secretly left Marineford with her babies and Will in tow. The couple decided to get married and settle down in a city called Kawasaki Town, opening up their own store and having a son Castiel two years later.
Character Background: Grace's childhood was filled with happy memories and many stories of her parents' adventures. She was especially close to her father and dreamed of becoming a pirate like him. From the tender age of five, Will taught Grace how to use firearms and everything else he knew when it came to being a pirate.
On her 16th birthday, Grace met the man who would change her life forever: Portgas D. Ace. The Spade Pirates made port in town and stopped by her parents' shop while she was working there. The attraction between Ace and Grace was nearly instant and before anyone knew it, they were spending a lot of time together and Ace soon asked Grace to accompany him on the high seas. With her parents' blessing, she left with the Spade Pirates and so began her budding romance with Ace.
But their bliss was short-lived when Grace gave birth to a stillborn daughter without knowing that she was pregnant. The pain, stress, and grief was too much for her to deal with and she eventually left Ace's side and returned home, not telling a single soul about her ordeal.
A year later, Grace was badly beaten and raped by a Marine and she killed him using the guns her father gave her. Now having a bounty of 1,000,000 Berries on her head, Grace decided to start the pirate life all over from scratch, formed her own pirate crew which consisted of her childhood friends A.J. and Nora at the time, and set sail with the goal of becoming the world's best gunslinger.
While going to various places, Grace met Kazuki, Suzuka, and Gisele who eventually joined her crew as well. Grace became known as the Bloodhound (making her bounty increase even more) and her crew were aptly named the Bloodhound Pirates in response. Now a seasoned pirate and gunslinger, Grace continues to sail the world with her crew in hopes of one day accomplishing her dream.
